I have been to tutorial today still none the wiser. I am really stuck on how to critically evaluate the findings from my tour and conference. I have decided which four areas to focus on. One being my child was really interested in our growing area and said thats where we grew tomatoes and asked can we grow them again. I thought this would be good to use but am struggling with how to evaluate it. Can anyone put me in the right direction or give me an example of what they did so I can go in the right direction. Many thanks Buttercup

I am thinking of topping up my foundation degree with the OU , I haven't done anything with them before so am looking for some advice. It requires you to take 2 modules each with 6 tma's and an exam. It says 9 months for each module what I would like to know is what the assignments are like in terms of word count and how difficult they are. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

As part of my reflective practitioner module we have to submit (at the end of year 1) a portfolio of reflective accounts, I was just wondering if anyone else was having trouble finding things appropriate to reflect on, or if there is really anything that's inapropriate to reflect on? I have tried to get a balance of positives and negatives but seem to have alot more arguing with collegues and work based issues than I do actual reflections on my practice involving the children, I did a really nice one on an outing we went on which made me feel really positive but i'm finidng it really hard when there are so many negative things standing out to focus on the nice things. …

Has anyone read any of Louise Porter books? I have to complete a children behaviour quiz and we have to research Porter 2004. I have been searching all morning for infomation and no luck. The problem with this quiz is the tutors didn't talk to us about the quiz, because the tutor who was suppose to do it, wasn't in class last week. someone else took our class instead and i think she forgot, the quiz was due to start this week. Here is an example of one of the questions It is suggested that behaviour is a function that children use to get needs met (Porter 2004). What types of instrinsic or internal needs might a child be trying to get met Thanks for…

In my setting children are constantly told no with no explanation and its getting ridiculous. Thanks
