Hi, For our final foundation degree assignment we have been given a role play child protection case and will be taking part in a conference. We have all been given a specific role and told btis of information about the case. Prior to the conference we have got to research our role and write 250 words on our roles which has got to be correctly referenced, which we will read out at the start of the conference. I have been given the role of the social worker assistant. My question is do any of you know where I can find any information on the general job role and the role in a child protection conference for a social workers assistant? I hope this makes sens…

Anyone else registering for this course, starting on October? It is the one that replaces E215 and it will be the last bit I need to do for my Foundation degree. I am very worried about fitting it in with work commitments (I have moved from early years setting to year one, so a whole new curriculum too!). Anyone who studied E215 can you give me any tips to help me prepare and maybe an overview of what it entailed and what you thought of it? Thanks!

Hi everyone Please could I have ome advice and guidance on this TMA Evaluating childrens knowledge - it is driving me potty!!!! I have got bored of watching the DVD, so I have now established my subject areas, highlighted sequences on the DVD, thrown in vygotsky, bruner. But got to the end and I am 400 words short!!!!!!!!!! I am usually over by 200 words, so i have decided it is worse to have less as now I am just jabbering on about rubbish. Any help on this TMA would be much appreciated as I just want to submit it to get it out of the way! Many thanks Zoe

Hi Everyone.. This question goes out to everyone who has studied the course E243- it has now changed to E214 and the questions have changed but still similar in a way i guess. Hi all, I know this is a real long shot.... but hey..... I'm studying E105 with Open University, and I have read so much that I just cannot think where I heard/read a quote about scaffolding children's learning. It was something like... . "questions - test, but conversation teaches", Does this sound familiar to anyone? and if so, where might I find it to reference it? With lots of faith and finger crossed!! MPS09
