Hi I was just reading a little booklet "Early Years Inspection and Regulation" which is information and guidance for Inspectors of Early Years settings published in 2009. Help I posted a few posts belpow asking about the DPP word count, I asked my tutor via email she didn't reply I handed in my first assignment at 7941 word and she marked it and gave me a provisional A so i assumed all was good, am half way throught unit 3 which is the unit marked by cache, i have done up to p4 (goes up to p10) and am on 3297 words, this assignment needs to be sent to CACHE on 15th Feb. Today I recieved an email from my tutor saying that CACHE have introduced a word count of 3500 words for ALL of the assignments now i am really worried as i have to reduce all of my work so far by half but if i miss the deadline for unit 3 CACHE will not take it until a…

hi all i am new here, stumbled across the forum googling info for my diploma in preschool practice. I was wondering if you could help me with something please? I am currently doing my first assignment (unit1) but have read alot on here about word counts, however my tutor hasnt mentioned yo us anything about a word count and we do not have a class until the week after next which is one week before the deadline so don't want to leave it till then to ask but i am struggling with what is expected of me in this assignemt in genreal so what is the deal with the word count please?

I am about to book myself on the five day Development Movement Play Certificate Course in Oxford starting in October. Before I finally commit myself I wondered if anyone has done the course and could tell me how it has impacted on their personal practice, and that of their setting. Hi everyone, I'm just having a 'what shall I do with my life?' moment. I am currently studying the foundation degree in Early Years through the OU. I'm looking at topping it up to a full degree if i ever complete it Now I really don't want to offend anyone by my question, i genuinly don't know the answer, what is the point of topping up to a BA with honors, when people are looking for a degree qualification will they be interested if it is with honors or will a degree be sufficient. hi again, as everyone was so helpfull with my last question i thought i'd run this by you I am currently doing my DPP and am planning what to do in september, I have a degree in a non-related subject and my boss has suggested i enroll on the long route of the EYPS, however I have only been in the industry a few month and feel i maybe out of my depth going straigt to this level and am considering taking the long route and doing a 2nd degree part - time in early years. Does anyone have any experiance /advise which may help?
