Hello all!! I am applying for a job at the moment and have had a look online at the personal specifications. In the 'desirable' section it mentions a knowledge/experience of Highscope! I have looked at the highscope website online, but was wondering if any of you have any personal experience of this and also your thoughts on it! Any comments gratefully appreciated. http://www.learnhq.com/safeguarding_children.html I recently received an email from this training provider and would be interested to know if anyone uses them for staff training and if their courses are worthwhile. I was particularly interested in the Food Hygiene module but noticed that they offer a selection of courses for £169.95 so would be interested in information on any! Quick Question About Appendix

ok, having a moment of unsureness, on my assignment it says to include 4 observations of a child in the appendix - am I right in assuming that these don't count towards the word count (I hope they don't!) then, how would you read this question.... 'Include a profile of the child based on the observations in the appendix' I first read it that the profile was to go into the appendix as well, but then thought they might mean literally 'based on the observations that you have included in the appendix' The first one about including the obs reads like this; 'Include 4 obs that fulfill the criteria in the assignment task, in the appendix' so you can see my confus…

Hi all Just got back from some very good 2 day CP training. Our trainer was thorough, the info was bang up to date. Much, much better than the 1/2 day we used to get. I think us early years practitioners are finally getting recognised as professionals!! Hooray! Sam

Hi Just wondered whether anyone has been on any training on CAF (Common Assessment Framework) my colleagues daughter (e recent NQT) was horrified to find out that we had received NOTHING - neither info or training on this matter. (we are sessional Pre School) CAF is mentioned in the EYFS - Principles into Practice card 3.1 heading - Assessment. Will have a look on the EYFS website for further info - but in the meantime, any info on how we access training etc. or what it means for us from anyone here would be helpful. Thanks

I'm looking for a couple of courses to go on over the next few months whilst I have some free time! I would like to learn more about working with 0-3, boys, outdoor learning environments, behaviour and SEN are areas I would like to explore too. I can travel to Birmingham, London, Bristol and Cardiff and basically anywhere along the M4 and don't mind the cost too much! If anyone can recommend any Colleges/providers etc that are good and have courses coming up over the next term I would be very grateful. Many thanks, Kitty
