An agency worker told me today that a manager she knows has said if our qualifictations are before 2000, we need to update them. I know how messages can get mixed so I wondered if anyone had heard this form anywhere or has a link to anything official. A couple of people were a bit scared by the idea. Me included!

Hi All Happy New Year have not been on for a while had this horrid flu bug just wanted to let you all know that i passed my Degree got results in December thanks to all who helped over the years especially Geraldine and got the results of the GCSE Mathematics equivalency that i sat on the 10th December on New Years Eve and passed that as well so (thanks again to all who gave study advice) I am now starting my EYPS validation next week.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share the experience Im having at the moment. I have been on my first teaching practice - which is not assessed and just a 'drop in the ocean' in the amount of work i will have when im teaching but... Ive had a really lovely year 2 class with an excellent teacher, its the end of my 3weeks with them, b4 i go to Yr6 for next week! (scary). Ive taught lots of literacy and numeracy as well as science and RE, ive done circle time and some DT. I had a tutor visit today and my class mentor was full of praise at how much iv learnt in 3weeks, it has been absolutley fantastic But now im so sad to be leaving them full time, they have ma…

Hi I was wondering if there was anyone who could advise what course or training I could do next ? Unfortunately I have just finished at my local preschool (where I was the supervisor)as I felt that I was not qualified enough to do the job. I had been there for five years employed at first as an assistant, then deputy and finally the supervisor. I gained experience but not real training I only ever went on one training course and first aid the whole time I was an assistant and deputy ! I went to college and did the diploma in Preschool practice but that was five years ago and I feel that I have not developed professionally. I would really like to continue in early year…

I am so nervous and worried, tomorrow I enroll on the third year of an early childhood studies degree after completing a foundation degree. I am worried that I will not cope with the work load or the level of expectation. I am worried I will be a miserable boring person to be around as I will be attending uni three nights a week untill 9.30 it will take me over an hour to get home then up at 6 for work!!! Am I mad? Is it worth it the end?? Anyone been there done this? any tips for me? I am not looking forward to having no life again weekends studying evenings studying and days working PLEASE TELL ME IT'S WORTH IT IN THE END!!!
