A nursery I have been to in the past have used me in the after school club. I wasnt too happy about it, I know my DPP is for under 8's, but can I be used in an after school club with 9, 10, 11 year olds? I turned down a job there today because I really dont want to be seen to be working outside my area. But I thought I'd check here too.

Sorry this could be a long one. I am currently working as an unqualified teacher in a small primary school I have been there for just over 2 years and I really enjoy it. I started off as a nursery nurse and then was promoted to teach reception and pre school due to the school having increasing numbrs of reception children and my experience in the early years. I did a BTEC ND in Nursery Nursing 10 years ago and have worked in many settings including special schools, nuseries, playgroups and as a nanny. Inbewteen this time I did BA hons in Fine Art so that I would have the degree to go into teacher training and went for the job at the school so I could gain relevent…

Eyfs Training For Ks1/2 Teacher

I am working a maternity cover in an FS unit, having done a PGCE for KS1 and KS2 and worked with years 1-5 in the past. I am having the best time of my life and would love to stay with this age group. I am concerned that the start of EYFS will work against me and was wondering if there are any courses I could do to demonstrate my commitment to this age group? Or will experience and LA courses be enough? Thanks for your time.
