Early Primary Teacher Training

Hi, I'm about to start semester 2 of my first year in BA (Hons) Early Priamary Education at Anglia Ruskin University (Chelmsford) and would like to hear from anybody taking the Early Primary route into teaching. There seem to be people who post on here who are doing PGCE courses, but I don't think I've seen any from undergraduates. It would be interesting to hear how others are getting on. Lynn.

Today I went to Brinsbury College with a member of staff for a Quality Assurance Scheme Conference. There were two ladies from Lewisham giving a talk - Penny Cartwight and Kym Scott - they were so enthusiastic and informative. There is a book called A Place to Learn which I am definitely going to order. It contains lots of ideas to support staff in developing all areas of learning throughout the setting - indoors and out. Has anyone else got the book - if so what do you think of it? Sue J

Early Years Professional Status

Hi I am interested in the Early Years Professional Status Course starting in Sept'07, but I live and work in Cornwall does anyone know if there is one near to me? I have had information from Winchester as I did my training there but it is a long way to travel. Also if I was to do it at Winchester how many times do you have to go to campus to attend the course? say for the short validation course part-time.

Well, as I am avoiding admin work I had another look at this degree. Has anyone else out there heard of this on-line University, or had any experience of studying with them.? I have contacted my LA to see if the degree comes into the remit for transformation funding and I have contacted Ultraversity for an initial application. I like the look of this degree because it is purely on line and is based on research of my current work practice, thus done whilst I am at work Peggy here's the link Ultraversity

In-house Training

Just wondering if anyone else does any. We have 3 staff training days a year (in addition to all the training and workshops we do separately) that I either deliver myself or we have someone from Care and Education (as was) in. I was thinking..... if anyone else did deliver their own, we could do some sharing. What do you think?
