Hi, I'm Kerry from Vietnam and I am wondering if there are any other UK teachers (I work in a play centre) or child care people overseas? Or if anyone would like to link up with people working in different countries to exchange ideas and just chat about kids and work in general. I really love reading all the forum posts - probably too much as I have so many other things that need doing. They inspire me and give me so many ideas to try out in the centre where I work. Anyway, if anyone out there wants to chat about working overseas or in the UK it would be great. Thanks, Kerry PS, I am sorry if my posts always sound a bit pompous or formal, I am not used to writing i…

Hi All, As staff we all meet up for a Christmas meal at the end of term. We bring along one present (value between £5 and £10), number it and put into the 'kitty'. During the meal we all draw a number and that is the present we get. I have thought of the usual smellies etc, but would like to take something a little different this year. Does anyone have any unusual ideas of what to get? What has been the best present you have ever received? Looking forward to hear your views Radish

I just got an email from our recycling scheme about an initiative by the people at Ella's Kitchen to recycle their snack pouches and other packaging once children have eaten the contents. You can send back the pouches to them free of charge and they'll donate 2p per pouch to your setting. You can find the website here but turn the sound off. If you're on the page for any length of time you might find the buzzing bee a bit irritating!
