Please note that this tutorial is about tracking for the old EYFS. For information about tracking screens for the new EYFS 2021, please click here. There are two different comparison screens available on Tapestry for EYFS - the Individual Comparison screen and the Group Comparison screen. I'm going to talk you through both in this tutorial. You can find both of these screens by going to the 'Tracking' tab at the top of the page (1), then making sure you are on the 'EYFS' section (2) you either need to select the 'Comparison: Individual' or 'Comparison: Group' button in the Dashboard section (3), depending on what you want to see. …

It's really easy to change either your email, password and PIN within the new Android app. To do this you just need to login and select where it says 'You' on the bottom task bar. On the next page you just need to select change your email, password or PIN, depending on what it is that you want to change. For this tutorial I have selected the change email option; you can see below what this looks like. Here I just need to enter my new email (1), confirm this (2), enter my password (3) and then save (4). And that's all you need to do! Please note, to be able to change any of your email, password or …

On the new Android app it is now possible to receive push notifications on a specific device! Please note: it's not possible to receive push notifications on Amazon Fire devices. For a user to start receiving these type of notifications there is a two-step enabling process. Firstly, a manager needs to permit this within the account user permissions and secondly, an individual user has to allow this from their device. The reason behind this two-step process is that push notifications involve sending personal information via Google’s servers, and this information might be displayed on a device’s lock screen. Therefore, depending on the data protection policy for…

A great feature on the Android app is the ability to login and add observations whilst the device you're using to access the Tapestry app is offline. This works by authenticating PIN logins that have already been enabled on the device whilst you have connection. As such, it's not possible to login with an email and password whilst offline. Before you enable this on your account, we suggest settings think about the benefit of offline access vs the additional risks. It's important to note a few things that could happen with offline access: A user might be able to see information even though their account has been deactivated. This is because the offline app may …

In this tutorial I'm going to walk you through the Android Tapestry app. You can find the app by either searching 'Tapestry Mobile' in the Google Play store or downloading it directly from the link here. Please note: Tapestry Classic with the black and white logo is our old app so please don't download this. If you have an Amazon Fire device the process is quite similar, just search for "Tapestry Mobile", either at Amazon.co.uk or via the Amazon app store on your device: If you have any questions about the latest version of the app, you can check out our FAQs page; if your question isn't answered there or you would like…

Please note that this tutorial is related to the old EYFS. For information about the new EYFS 2021, please click here. About the Tapestry Next Steps The Next Steps that are generated automatically by Tapestry are general suggestions of things you can do to help assess a child in a higher age band/refinement. They come from the Development Matters statements for the appropriate age band, from the Enabling Environment guidance and from the Positive Relationships ideas. You can also customize the Next Steps statements by adding your own. Remember, both the Tapestry statements and any custom statements you add are general so they will be available to ch…

Relatives might sometimes contact you with issues logging in. Knowing how to proceed in each case will allow you to offer them your best support, as we cannot help them directly. This is due to our contract being with you as the setting, and us only being able to look into accounts if explicitly instructed by a manager or a staff member in the setting's Tapestry account. The main thing to bear in mind, is that only active relatives will be able to log in to their accounts or request reset password emails. If a relative is inactive, or hasn't activated their account yet, meaning they are either activating or not activated (you can learn more about user status and how…
