This tutorial will show you how to delete relatives individually and in bulk. There are various reasons you might want to delete a relative account, but the most important thing to bear in mind is that they will not be able to access their account or request a reset password email unless you make them active again. If you wish to learn more about user status please click here. Please note that all relatives that you mark for deletion will have their status changed from active/inactive to 'awaiting deletion'. All awaiting deletion relatives will remain in the account for 90 days, but once that period is up their profiles will get permanently deleted. Once this h…

This tutorial will show you how to deactivate relatives individually and in bulk. There are various reasons you might want to deactivate a relative account, but the most important thing to bear in mind is that they will not be able to access their account or request a reset password email unless you make them active again. If you wish to learn more about user status please click here. As it stands right now, inactive relatives have an advantage over awaiting deletion relatives; whilst awaiting deletion relatives will be permanently deleted from the account after 90 days, inactive relatives can be reactivated whenever you please. Also, whilst at the moment …

This tutorial will show you how to delete children individually and in bulk. The most common reason for deleting a child is them having left your setting, either at the end of the year or after having been transferred to another setting, or having move up to a year Tapestry does not offer a framework for, e.g. from Year 6 to Year 7. Please note that all children that you mark for deletion will have their status changed from active/inactive to 'awaiting deletion'. All awaiting deletion children will remain in the account for 90 days, but once that period is up their profiles will get permanently deleted. During this first three-month period any manager in the ac…

It's really easy to change any of your email, password and PIN within the new iOS app. To do this you just need to login and select where it says 'You' in the top left-hand corner. On the next page you just need to select change your email, password or PIN, depending on what it is that you want to change. For this tutorial I have selected the change email option; you can see below what this looks like. Here I just need to enter my new email (1), confirm this (2), enter my password (3) and then save (4). And that's all you need to do! Please note, to be able to change any of your email, password or PIN y…

In this tutorial I will run through how to set the notification preferences for your own personal account. Changing these settings will only change the preferences for your personal Tapestry login. If you are a manager and want to change the default notification preferences for all users on your account, you just need to follow this tutorial. We're going to look at choosing whether you would like to receive notifications via email or internally, or whether you would like to disable certain notifications altogether. Setting your notification preferences to internal means you won't receive any emails and you can only see your notifications from within your Tapestry a…

This tutorial will show you how to deactivate children individually and in bulk. There are various reasons you might want to deactivate a child's account, but the most important thing to bear in mind is that you will not be able to access the data of any inactive children unless you make them active again. You are able to export a PDF copy of their journal from their inactive status, though! For that you'd only have to find them in control panel > manage children > and click on the 'inactive' section across the top. You can then follow the steps in this tutorial. As it stands right now, inactive children have an advantage over awaiting deletion children; …

More often than not, settings include relatives when they transfer children's profiles from their setting to another one. If you have received a transfer and relatives have been sent along, please note that they will arrive in your account as 'not activated'. This means that they won’t be able to login to your account until you activate it for them, for more information you can read the 'User status' tutorial here. This is so receiving settings can decide when to give access to relatives on their accounts; perhaps you need to go through your user permissions first, or need to make sure that the received children's baselines and first observations are correct before g…
