Please note that this tutorial is related to thoroughness scores for the old EYFS. For information about thoroughness for the new EYFS 2021, please click here. Thoroughness is the number of assessments that have been made for a child or group throughout a selected period. Please note that this figure is likely to be different to the number of observations that have been made, as it is possible that you have added several assessments to one single observation. Please note that this tutorial is about tracking groups of children for the old EYFS. For information about tracking screens for groups for the new EYFS 2021, please click here. Similarly to how you can view how much progress an individual child is making, there are several different ways in which you can learn how much progress a group of children is making. There are a couple things you need to bear in mind to understand group progress: Any percentages shown are for the number of children that have been assessed for each area and/or aspect within the group. That is, if there are 15 children in a group, but only 10 have been assessed for a specif…

This tutorial will explain, step by step, how you can restore a relative profile that has been made inactive or is awaiting deletion. We will explain how to do this for one relative at a time and various relatives in bulk. If you are unsure about what status the relative profile is in - either inactive or awaiting deletion - I will show you how to find this out a bit further down. Please note that if the account was marked as awaiting deletion over 90 days ago, the account will not be retrievable. However, first of all, let me take you to the corresponding screen for either case: go to Control panel (1), and then click on 'Manage Relatives' (2). Once …

The Qualitative Ranges are for the overview graphs in the analysis section of Tapestry and control the colour coded sections - so what is trailing, satisfactory, and good (or whatever words you choose to use). This setting contains 3 tabs for "Progress", "Attainment" and "Thoroughness". Each tab works in the same way, and it is here that you can set thresholds for each qualitative range i.e. what does trailing mean in numbers. Progress: The difference in attainments for a child across 2 periods. 0 means that they are progressing at the same rate as they are aging. A negative number means they are progressing at a slower rate than they are aging or that they have…

If you haven't set up tiers, children's MAPs or haven't started assessing KS1/KS2 on your account yet, you can use the tutorials linked below to help you. Please note that this tutorial is about tracking for the old EYFS. For information about tracking screens for the new EYFS 2021, please click here. The Performance Standard (formerly GLD) screen on Tapestry will allow you to see whether individually, children are working at, above or below a target you set and will also allow you to see the percentage of a group that are at or above this target. The reason the name for this screen was changed was because GLD has a specific meaning and is a calculation based on the EYFSP submission. We have now added a screen which will show you whether children on your account are reaching GLD. You can find this screen b…
