If you haven't set up tiers, children's MAPs or haven't started assessing KS1/KS2 on your account yet, you can use the tutorials linked below to help you. Quite often the person who administers your Tapestry account is not the same person who pays for the renewal every year. In these circumstances you may want to set the person who does pay for your invoices up an alternative contact for your FSF account. This means the administrator will continue to receive emails about the FSF and Tapestry, including the invoices. The bursar or finance officer will also be notified when an invoice is ready, and will be able to log in to their own FSF account and make payment for the invoice and any future invoices themselves online. To set up the alternative contact, the second contact will need to first have an FSF account. I…

If you want to convert your free trial to a full account and, in doing so, keep all the information that was added onto it throughout your trial, you can do so through your Tapestry account. Please note that your trial will not get converted until we have received and processed your payment, so do bear in mind your payment periods when requesting the trial conversion invoice. If you still have any trial extension allowance left, you can request it so you can continue using your account whilst the payment is processed. NB: If you find your trial has expired and you haven't already completed the procedure below, then you won't be able to access Tapestry to convert. In t…

You can upgrade your package size at any point in the year and you will only be charged the difference between the two package sizes. Please note doing this does not change your subscription expiry date. If you are wanting to upgrade within 2 months before your account's renewal date, then please contact us directly at customer.service@eyfs.info instead of doing this yourself. If you require fewer children than your current package size and would therefore like to downgrade to a smaller package, you will again need to contact us at customer.service@eyfs.info in order to do this. If you do downgrade, you will not receive a refund for having paid for the larger package…

Tapestry includes a SEND assessment framework which you may find more appropriate to use with children who have been identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities. The framework is based on the old Development Matters document (2012), but we have removed the age bands (calling them stages instead) and also added many other statements which could help in identifying those smaller steps of progress that children with SEND might demonstrate. To enable this on your account you just need to go to your Control Panel, which you can access by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner (1) and then selecting 'Control Panel' from the drop-down menu…

Please note that this tutorial is about seeing the number of observations and assessments for the old EYFS. To see this information for the new EYFS, click here. In this tutorial we are going to look at how to see the number of observations and/or assessments a child has on Tapestry. The tutorial is broken up into two sections, the first part will cover the number of observations and in the second part we will look at the number of assessments. The tutorial is split in two because these figures might be different, as it’s possible to make an observation without an assessment and it’s also possible to add several assessments within one observation. To skip…
