Here we'll take a look at how to set your user permissions for reports for relatives. Before we get to this, it's worth noting that relatives are unable to see 'Draft' reports or 'Staff Only' reports. You can change the status of a report by going to the 'Reports' tab (1), and clicking the cog icon (2) to the right of the report's title. To allow relatives to view a report you will need to set this to 'Published' (3). This means the permissions you set for relatives will only affect their ability to interact with published reports. You can access your user permissions by going to the Control Panel (1), then to User Permissions (2). …

This tutorial will talk you through how to use the Montessori curriculum on the Tapestry app. The screenshots I will use throughout have been taken using the new iOS app, but the process will be the same for the Android app. The new iOS and Android apps are separate apps to the original one, so you will need to download them from the App/Play store. The articles linked below will explain how to do this for each app and also mention some of the exciting new features available on them. New Android app New iOS App Now let's look at how to add Montessori assessments in an observation on the app. Once you have logged in to the app you just need …

There are many ways to customise your Tapestry account depending on your own preferences and what type of setting you are. For example, if you are an Early Years setting or a childminder you may want to have a fun feature background, especially if children and their parents are going to be accessing their experiences through Tapestry. If you are a school using Tapestry to record and follow progress in Key stage 1 or 2 you may wish to have a plain background. In this tutorial I will run through how to change your theme and font, how to update your setting name, and how to add a logo to your account. If you are looking to customise a particular aspect of your acc…

This tutorial will take you through how you can link Montessori activities to Development Matters Statements. To do this you will need to have both the Montessori and EYFS frameworks enabled on your account, if you haven't, you just need to follow this tutorial. Once you've ensure both frameworks are enabled on your account you will need to start adding an observation which you can do by going to the main observation page (1) and then clicking on the '+ Add Observation' button (2). This tutorial will explain, step by step, how you can restore a staff profile that has been made inactive or is awaiting deletion. We will explain how to do this for one staff at a time and various members of staff in bulk. If you are unsure about what status the staff profile is in - either inactive or awaiting deletion - I will show you how to find this out a bit further down. Please note that if the account was marked as awaiting deletion over 90 days ago, the account will not be retrievable. However, first of all, let me take you to the corresponding screen for either case: go to Control panel (1), and then click on 'Manage Staff' (2). To help you…

Once you have made assessments using the new KS frameworks on Tapestry you can look at the summative assessments. These will show how each child is doing generally and compared to their MAP. To find this, go to the ‘Tracking' tab at the top of the page (1), then select the Key Stage and year group you want to view (2). As with the rest of the snapshots on Tapestry we have an individual and group view screen for looking at summative assessments. I’m going to start off looking at the individual view, so to do this you just need to click on the ‘individual view’ button in the ‘Summative Assessment’ box (3). To skip to the section on the group view, click here. …
