Once you have added a relative to Tapestry you are then able to set permissions and notifications for the relative accounts. You have a choice whether you set up permissions to apply to all relatives, or to set up different permissions for individual relatives. The 'Email Log' feature can be used by managers to see which emails have been sent out by Tapestry. This is useful if a parent or member of staff is not receiving their account activation, notification, or password reset by email, as you can see if the emails are being sent by the system or not, and have an indication if they arrived in the inbox of the recipient, were sent to an invalid address or were rejected by a spam filter. We'll start by looking at how you can view your email log. To skip to the section on what to do if relatives are not receiving notification emails, click here. This tutorial will explain how you can set it on your Tapestry account so that all, or selected members of your staff, only see their key children (rather than all children on your account). For example, if you have a lot of children, setting it so that staff can only see their own key children allows them to find the groups they need quickly. If you are in a school with two classes in each year group, the class teachers can be set up as the key person and the children in their own class can be assigned to them. Creating smaller groups assigned to staff allows them to have a clearer ov…

In this tutorial we'll look at how to set your staff user permissions for reports, as well as what options are available. It is worth noting that manager accounts will always have full access, so the user permissions will only affect non-manager staff accounts. Firstly, you will need to go to the Control Panel (1), then User Permissions (2), then click the Reports heading (3). Then, if you scroll down and click on the Reports sub-section you will be given a list of permissions available for staff. Next to each of these it should say either 'Permitted' or 'Not Permitted' depending on whether the option is enabled for staff users. A…

Please note that this tutorial is about tracking for the old EYFS. For information about tracking screens for the new EYFS 2021, please click here. This tutorial has been created to take you through the screens on Tapestry which show you a child’s attainment for each period. Attainment on Tapestry is displayed in two distinct ways. The first way, which is shown in the first three screens in this tutorial, will just show you the age band and refinement (if you have refinements enabled) that either you have selected, or that Tapestry has calculated based on the assessments you have made for the child throughout the period. The second type of attainment…
