When transferring children to and from settings on Tapestry, both the sending and receiving setting receive notifications concerning the different stages of the transfer process. We thought it would be useful to have them listed here as a point of reference, explaining what they mean and the order in which they appear! 1. Started The setting transferring the children have selected the contents of the transfer and have made a request for a transfer to be prepared. A transfer name will now be available for the transfer. This setting then need to wait for Tapestry to copy their data and generate the transfer key. Notification received by: the send…

If relatives have been uploaded in bulk to your Tapestry by CSV file (this tutorial here explains how to do this) you will then need to attach each relative to the correct child(ren). You can see relatives that don't have any children attached as it will say 'no children set' underneath their name. You can attach children to relatives by going to the Control Panel (1) and then to the Manage Relatives page (2). Then click on the 'Manage Relationships' button (3). This will show you a page with all of your relatives names on it; to attach a child to a relative you just need to click on the 'Edit Relationships' button at the end of the row of a …

This tutorial will help you work out why a staff member or relative has not received a notification. There are a few things to check before looking through the flowchart; firstly, you will need to check whether you have the permission enabled on your account that allows staff and/or relatives, to receive notifications. You can check this by going to the Control Panel on your account (1) and selecting 'User Permissions' from the left-hand menu (2). You will then need to choose the appropriate 'Staff' or 'Relatives' tab at the top of the page (3). Finally, click on the 'Notifications' option (4). Here the option 'Receive notifications' wi…

If you cannot see a parent’s name in the list of your relatives and when trying to set them up with an account, you get the message ‘This email address is already in use’, this means the parent will have an account on your Tapestry that is inactive. To find this account and reactivate them you just need to follow these steps: Go to the Control Panel, by clicking on your name in the top right hand corner (1), and select ‘Manage Relatives’ from the left-hand side menu (2). Then click on the Filter & Sort Relatives’ button at the top of the page (3). From the pop up menu select ‘inactive’ from the drop-down list in the ‘status’ section …

The Email Log feature can be used by managers to see which emails have been sent out by Tapestry. This is useful if a parent or member of staff is not receiving their account activation, notification, or password reset by email, as you can see if the emails are being sent by the system or not, and have an indication if they arrived in the inbox of the recipient, were sent to an invalid address or were rejected by a spam filter. Firstly you'll need to access the Tapestry control panel. Log in on the web browser version of Tapestry, click your username at the top of the screen and select Control Panel. In the control panel you'll need to select the 'Email Log' …

Please note that this tutorial is about tracking for the old EYFS. For information about tracking screens for the new EYFS 2021, please click here. There are several different ways in which you can view progress for individual children on Tapestry. The first way is by showing you the child's assessment scores for several periods side by side. This is the more visual representation of progress and doesn't take the child's actual age into account - it just shows how they have moved through the age bands and refinements. There are two different screens on Tapestry which will show you progress in this way. Another way is through the points progress scree…

It's important to keep your contact details in Tapestry up to date. The first reason to do this is so our replies to your support emails are sent to a real email address, and the second reason is to allow parents to contact you easily if they have a problem while using Tapestry. If you've not added contact details for relatives to use, or your support email is not registered to an active staff member you may see a banner like the one below in Tapestry. Click on it to be taken to the right area of the Control Panel. If you can't see a banner, you will need to access this page through the Control Panel. You can find this by clicking on your nam…
