The updated iOS (3.2.13) and Android (3.2.16) apps now available for your to download from the app store or to upgrade on your devices! The new apps include frameworks for Key Stages 1 and 2, Montessori and SEND! The app for the Amazon Fire device will be also be updated this week!

The Care Diary is now live for everyone on Tapestry! You can enable this for your setting by going to the control panel -> settings -> care diary and tick 'Enabled for use'. This tutorial here talks you through the process of setting it up and using the diary on your account.

Written in consultation with several special schools, our new SEND assessment system is now live on Tapestry. A manager can enable this by going to the control panel -> settings -> assessments.

Managers can now be notified when a new observation had been added to Tapestry but not been approved yet. You can turn that on from each manager's 'edit preferences' screen.

As some of you may have noticed we have just added a couple of new statuses/labels to staff members and relatives; - Activating - Not Activated - Duplicate - Unsubscribed Each of these have their own tutorials, but I wanted to write this brief(ish) post so they’re not completely alien to you and to give you a chance to ask any questions you have about them. I'm also going to talk about the statuses of 'Awaiting deletion' and 'Being deleted'. These aren't so new, but this is a good time to make you aware of them if you aren't already! You can now collate and export all media (photos and videos) from all observations of a child in bulk! These can be set to be downloadable for staff and/or relatives as ZIP files. More information about how to perform bulk downloads of media can be found at this tutorial.

Up to now when you exported a PDF copy of a child's journal, it would only have been available to download for 7 days; after that time it would disappear and you'd need to export it again if you hadn't already downloaded it. Now however, staff and relatives will have 28 days to download them. This also applies to existing exports, so for example, if the PDF was created 6 days ago, it will still have 22 days left before it disappears.

We have now released a new version of the EYFSP submission screen! If you haven't started your submission yet, then it's worth starting it on this new one. You can find it from the snapshot section in the EYFSP box. This will take into account the scores in your summative assessment snapshots and is generally nicer to use than the control panel version! You can read more about it in this tutorial. For now both versions will be available but we will move all the data from the control panel version to the snapshots one over the summer and then remove the EYFSP section from the control panel completely.
