When you are transferring children to another Tapestry package you can now select the option to include manually overridden assessments and reports in the transfer. You'll find these options when you start a transfer from the control panel. This tutorial explains how to transfer children between packages on Tapestry. Please note if your term dates are different to the sending setting this might change which term the manually overridden assessments are placed in.

You can select one of two options when exporting a learning journal; Include all selected observations, but only show the following assessments This will include any observation regardless of whether the observation contains any assessment filters (such as relative observations) but will only display the selected assessment(s). or Only include observations that have the following assessments This option will only include observations that contain specifically selected assessments. You can now view Snapshots for the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework). You have the option to view the Summative Assessment Screen (which areas have been assessed and their refinements as an individual or group view) as well as the Statement Screen to see which statements have been selected (also by individual or group view). You can enable the EYLF framework by following the 'Assessment pickers' tutorial and then locate the above mentioned screens in the Snapshots section on Tapestry.

How key children show up on Tapestry has changed a little bit for managers and staff members who are permitted to see all children. Previously they wouldn't show up at all, but now they do in a few places, and the pages where they don't show up are more obviously filtered. This tutorial explains the change in depth.

You can now set permissions (so what users can or cannot do on Tapestry) on an individual basis. This means, for example, that some of your full staff and PIN only staff members will be able to publish observations but not others. You can set your default and individual preferences for staff and relatives from within your control panel. See this tutorial for more details.

When you export a child's journal as a PDF you now have the option to exclude observations created by relatives from the export. Comments made by relatives and members of staff are now included when you export a single observation through Tapestry. When you select the 'export' button when viewing an observation, you will see an option to include comments with the export. It's ticked by default, so untick this if you don't want to include the comments. Likes are not recorded in the export.

It's now possible to download a PDF copy of the age band tracker information from Tapestry. Just select 'group view' (below the age band tracker icon) in the snapshots tab to open the age band tracker, and then you should see a 'PDF' button below the filtering options. Click this to export the data as a PDF, which can then be printed.

You can find the 'Transfer Children' page on the Control Panel. These filters will help you with the sorting of the transfers and if you are looking for a particular transfer. You can see the button for this on this page in both the 'Current Transfers' section and the 'Previous Transfers' one. You will just need to select either the 'Filter & Sort Current Transfers' button or the 'Filter & Sort Previous Transfers' one, depending on what you are looking for.

You are able to see this information when you click into an observation, underneath the title you will see who authored the observation, and if it has been approved, which member of staff did this. Relatives will by default also see this information. You can disable to this option so relatives cannot see who approved an observation by going to the Control Panel -> Settings -> Observations, unticking the 'Show relatives who approved the observation' option and pressing save.
