If you use the International Early Years Curriculum framework for the children in your care, you can tag the statements and outcomes as part of observations on Tapestry. The framework is available on both the browser version of Tapestry and the Tapestry app (for iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire devices). You can find our tutorial for how to turn that on here:

You can now export and print name labels for your Tapestry children. We’ve got two sizes of label right now - 80mm x 50mm and 177mm x 40 mm, and a few choices in terms of colour, how much of each child’s name is included, and whether their profile picture appears or not. You can find out more about it here: Tapestry.info You can see our written tutorial about it here: Creating Name Labels written tutorial You can find our video tutorial for it here: Creating Name Labels Video Happy Christmas!

We’ve just added the Cherry Garden framework to Tapestry. It is a flexible, child centred assessment framework for students with SLD/PMLD working at a level expected for typically developing children aged 0-5 years. You can read a bit more about it here: We have a number of tutorials for it in our main tutorials list but you can start by looking at this one – it’ll tell you how to turn it on.

Reflections is a fantastic new feature, designed to bring staff together to reflect and evaluate their practice and provision. You can use it to identify your strengths and areas for improvement, as well as plan activities to continuously develop and improve your setting. It works in a similar way to observations, so you can add a title, children, notes, comments and media to a reflection. You can also link reflections to other reflections and to observations which will help you create a timeline of a reflection and your thought process. There are flags available for reflections which can be used as a way of grouping reflections and also showing what a reflecti…

It's now possible to pay by card through your Tapestry account or through our new payment portal, rather than having to go to the FSF. If you have a manager's login to Tapestry you just need to go to the control panel and click on 'View and pay your invoices' on the 'Overview' page. If you don't have a login, you can go to https://pay.tapestryjournal.com/. You'll need to know the post code of the address the Tapestry is registered to and the invoice number but once you've entered those you will be able to view and pay the invoices associated with that account.

As we add more features to Tapestry, this requires adding more permissions so managers are able to choose what staff and relatives on their accounts can do and see. To avoid this list of permissions getting too long and unmanageable, we have now made each section collapsible. This means that when you click on one of the headings, all the permissions for this section will then appear below so you can see and edit each permission. For a manager to access the User Permissions section on Tapestry you just need to go to the Control Panel and then select 'User Permissions' from the left-hand menu.

You can now see whether children on your account are reaching 'GLD' (Good Level of Development) based on your EYFSP page. A child is considered as achieving GLD if they are at "Expected" or "Exceeding" across all aspects in the 5 areas. This tutorial will talk you through where you can find this screen and how you can use it.

We have renamed this screen because "GLD" (Good Level of Development) has specific meaning and is a calculation based on the EYFSP submission. We now have a screen which will show whether children are reaching GLD based on the EYFSP submission page on Tapestry. This tutorial will talk you through this screen. Please see below a screenshot showing you the renamed Performance Standard screen.

You will now be able to find the Pre Key Stage 1 and 2 framework on Tapestry! You will be able to add assessments in it within observations on the browser version and be able to see which statements have been assessed how many times within a selected time frame from the tracking screen. To turn it on for your account, you'll need to go to your 'Control Panel' then 'Settings' > 'Assessments' and look in the United Kingdom section.
