Hello, We are new to Tapestry and trying to work out the most accurate way that we can collect accurate upto date attainment data at the end of each term. Previously we have assessed children based upon professional judgements from evidence i.e Observations etc. What i am getting confused with is, when it comes to the end of a term, the Summative assessments are based on a child's Midpoint of their age in that given period for example If a child is 46 months at the start and 50 months at the end the assessment is based on a child at 48 months. Is it not a more accurate judgement if they were assessed at their actual age at the end point? i.e. 50 months or doesn't it matte…

My setting has just purchased Tapestry. I have been watching the tutorials and have noticed the new tabs; analysis and snapshots do not appear on our account. The only tabes that appear at the top of the age are: observations, children, tracking and care diary. Could anybody help me with this please?

Hi We've been adding parents to tapestry and we've had quite a few saying they can't see the care diary part, also we have now noticed that all of the entries we for the care diary over the past few weeks have now gone. Can anyone help!!

In currently looking at my children's next steps for summer 2. I am just wondering when the next steps will be generated for the autumn term 1? I've just gone to look for autumn term and it says no assessments found. We are trailing using next steps from tapestry for planning but concerned I can't use summer next steps in a September plan as it is part of autumn term???

Hi I am newish to Tapestry, my staff have been doing pre-sch assessments for them ready to go to school, on each childs individual assessments some are showing red below actual age 40-60 when developing I don't want parents look at them and think my child is below age whats the best way to get parents to understand this assessment and there child isn't under achieving hope this makes sense

Hi, This post is to let you know about some of the changes that we're making to the Tapestry Key Stage assessment system in preparation for the new term starting. The system was released around this time last year and since then, we've received lots of really positive feedback! One thing that has come up a few times however, is that assessments made from the summative and formative assessment screens are taking priority over assessments made as part of observations. This is happening even when the observations are made later on in the term than the formative/summative assessments. We completely agree with those of you who said the most recent assessment should…

Hi, I am on a trial with Tapestry at the moment, (really loving it) We want to add a profile picture to each child but it will only let me as a Manager, is there a setting/button i am missing to allow the Keyworker to add the photo? Thanks for your help.

Hello, I'm a childminder and I've recently started using Tapestry and think its fab. Just want a bit of advice with regard to 'Refinements'. If I do an observation on a child who is 'emerging' in an area and I add that as a refinement, when the child becomes 'secure' in that area how would I manage/change it? Would I just go back into the observation and amend it when I am looking at my tracking, or would I need to do a new observation? I've not been adding refinements to my observations as I'm unsure the best way to manage it correctly. If you could point me in the right direction or to a tutorial, that would be great, thanks.
