I have an 8 year old who is very tech savvy so with parents permission I set him up as a relative on his tapestry and he LOVES it. So nice because he is looking back, reflecting, making comments (his parents never do). Wish i'd done it sooner!"

In the tracking section of Tapestry, is it possible to alter what determines "below actual age" "at actual age" and "above actual age". For example, a child who is 48 months old. Achieving 30-50 Developing in Making Relationships. This is labelled as "Below actual age" and highlighted pink as per the key. Technically he is still ok to be in that age range (as he's 48m) especially as we do not expect children to be wholly in 40-60 whilst still at pre-school. Is there anything I can alter here? Am I making sense?! or being pedantic! When analysing I just would prefer to clearly see those children that are really at risk of delay (pink) and not mixed in with ch…

Hello all! We are really pleased with Tapestry - parents love it however we have stumbled upon an issue which seems to have got increasingly worse over a few weeks. When staff try to log -in with their pin they get as far as the drop down box and the screen freezes for quite some time (by this point the chid has moved away!) . They do eventually manage to log in but then they are quite frequently logged back out and face the same issue again which is really frustrating. Can anyone help with this issue? Glitter

Hello I’m new to tapestry and currently just doing my free trial to see if I like it and can get rid of paper versions. At the minute I track child’s progress on WTEW document by highlighting things off, is this something you can do on tapestry or just go on each statement and click emerging, developing or secure? also I track every 3 months in a block, I think I’ve managed to amend the assessment dates for this is this correct way of doing it? Has as anyone has any experience with ofsted and tapestry?

Hello I’m new to tapestry and deciding whether to convert from paper format, at the min I’ve added observations and highlighted the areas of learning. However, is there a way to see what areas of learning a child still needs to improve on? thanks

Is there a way to show the areas of assessment for each observation without listing the whole DM’s statements? E.g. if there was a colour code system then during moderation and parents looking through the hard copy of the child’s could instantly see a Maths observation it would make it easier. During moderation I spent so long flicking back wards and forwards trying to find evidence for UtW why a simple colour coded dot system would be brilliant. My other question is, is there a way to show parents on Tapestry who their child’s key worker is? It’s important they know and this would be a good way to see an image of them and clarify who it is.

We're an existing setting using Tapestry, and our staff take tablets home to upload pictures and created detailed obs. We had Ofsted in for a re-registration interview today as we're changing to a CIO, and the lady told us that despite having parental approval and staff policies in place, we cannot allow staff to take tablets home because of the photos contained on them. My gut feel is that this inspector is personally against it, but that we're not breaking any of the rules by doing it this way! However, the committee have now said with immediate effect we have to do all obs onsite. Really looking for some concrete evidence to support my view that providing the necessary…
