We do not appear to be able to upload videos longer than 2 or 3 seconds. We do however see tapestry videos that are much longer on a shared child's setting. How's it done?

Hi, I hope somebody can help. Our early years setting is part of a private school from 2 to 18 years. We are only Just beginning to show and track progress. In the nursery class and Reception class we have done a baseline assessment, well a best fit approach. We will then do summative assessments at the end of each term. For the whole school approach I have to show numerically and with percentages how much progress we are making and to set targets. My initial idea is to do something similar to GLD, 1-emerging 2-developing 3-secure. So for nursery for example, the majority are within 30-50, so a child that is developing in that area would get 2, I thought if they were…

Hi. I've received a Tapestry file for a child for whom we have already a file on our system. I have managed to merge the parent but is it possible yet to merge the files? Or do I have to choose which to continue with? Thank you.

Hi Weavers, We just wanted to write this post to make you aware of a change to the baseline assessments that went live on Tapestry last week. To explain, previously on Tapestry if you ‘locked’ a child’s baseline it prevented any manual overrides being made unless the baseline was then unlocked, but any assessments that were added in observations after it was locked, did still contribute towards the score. We felt that this should be changed so that ‘locking’ a baseline meant that the values do not change if you add any further observations within the baseline period. Hi, Is there any way you can change the term dates for Autumn 1, 2 etc, I want to adjust them to fit in with the school terms. I did this previously before the Tracking tab was added but cannot seem to find out where this is now. Thank you.

Hello, if a child attends two settings at the same time and both have tapestry, is there a way for that child's tapestry journals from both settings to be linked. Is this something that does or should happen or should each setting just stick to their own tapestry and not merge them in any way. I hope that doesn't all sound confusing! Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, having just started using Tapestry we were wondering if you can change the date of the observation- if you take a photo the previous day but don't write up the observation until the next day it only shows as the day you wrote the observation not when the photo happened. Hope that makes sense! Thanks in advance

Updating policies with staff etc and facebook has popped up again. There are rules for staff and committee but non for parents making comments about the setting or the people associated with it. The policies are an agreement between all concerned and I have been asked to include a clause preventing parents from putting bad comments out to the public without at least contacting the setting first to see if the problem can be sorted "locally". Just asking for other folks views and if the request is allowed legally!!!

Hi, We have recently bought 6 x kindle fires and are having real trouble setting them up for the following reasons. 1. Each 'adult profile' has to be linked to an amazon account-we have an amazon account for the setting but not everyone has access to this! 2. The 'child profiles' do not allow uploading so while i can install tapestry on it, it is effectively useless! Has anyone found a way around these? At the moment have spent money on tablets we cant use! Any help of advice would be very gratefully received. Many Thanks
