Sad mummy post really I teach in Reception my daughter's school (she's in Y2 now). At the beginning of last year I took over the Reception class as my daughter moved into Y1 (I was in Y1 before). I took over our Tapestry account from the previous teacher too. Long story short, I downloaded a copy of my daughter's Tapestry journal to my computer from the staff login as I hadn't got a copy the summer she left YR. Once I'd dowloaded, her cohort only appeared in the inactive list of children. Now, a year on, I can't see where I have saved my daughter's learning journey on my computer and her cohort (2015/16) are no longer appearing on the list of inactive children, only…

Member Sarah_Medley has asked this question: Hi I was wondering if anyone can help? I am the manager of a pre-school and we have started to use tapestry today. Is there any way that you can see which area of learning you have completed? When you view next steps does it remove the steps you have already completed? Hope this makes sense it's been a long first day back !! Thanks in advance.

Good evening everyone.. I am new to Tapestry and after years of pushing for it in my Nursery I am determined to show everyone how fab it is! Please could someone explain the following: Most of my team are uploading approx. 100+ observations a week, others just 20.. is this appropriate? When choosing an age band for the statements do you always have to choose an age band for each learning statement? If yes how many observations do we need in each age band before we can say the child is secure in that Early Learning goal? Is it correct you cannot select different age bands for each statement? Hi everyone I am looking for a bit of direction! We are a large setting with around 250 registered children. We are hoping to purchase tapestry after our trial. My questions are as follows, also sorry if there is an easy access to these questions but I am trying to steer the tapestry ship at work and learning from just giving it a go!! Please could someone let me know how you started the transition period between paper work and tapestry. How did you all start a baseline of development? Also is there a summary feature? We currently hand write a summary of each area to each child every 6months. Thank you in advance! Laura

Hi weaver wizards! I am struggling with a few parents this year who are struggling to get on to tapestry. Not helped by the fact that many of my parents do not speak English. Might it be possible to set up a video that shows the parent end of the process ...I don't always know what they mean as I don't see their side of the problem (IYSWIM!) It would be great to have a link that I could give them that shows the process visually ...then it wouldn't matter what language they spoke . Often these parents are not keen on asking for help but actually are the ones I need to get on board Thanks FM x

Hello, we are new to Tapestry and are just in the process of setting it up and devissing a policy. Can anyone help in regards to photographs. Basically i want to know if there is any way that photos can only be uploaded to the tapestry software and nothing else. or how can we prevent staff sending them out via other sites. I know some people just monitor this but we are really big on safeguarding. Regards Gina

Hi I should know this, and think I did once, but where do I find an overview of how many observations each staff member has added this term already ? I checked the thoughorness screen but that shows '0' for all, does Tapestry only register observations that have eyfs assessments included ? Thanks
