we are implementing tapestry for the Amman Academy KG Stage. we have 3 sections for the pre-KG and 7 sections for KG 1. is there a way where i can group students into respective sections and assign multiple teachers to the same. where students in this group are considered as the key children for all linked teachers? we need this because we are a bilingual school and every class section has 2 homeroom teachers; Arabic hoemroom teacher and EN homeroom teacher.so same group/class section will have 2 teachers. also, there are other teachers who teach all class sections for example the PE teacher teaches all pre-KG and KG 1 sections so i need to link her to all the…

Hi, I have signed up a child who already attends another setting and already has a tapestry account with them. Is the best way for us to both contribute to the same journal for them to add our setting as a parent? If so what do other settings do in regards to accessing assessments for that child? Any help gratefully appreciated!! Thanks Sarah

Hi, I'm looking into tapestry for my local pre-school. I use it as a childminder and my daughter's preschool are thinking of starting to use an online system. They currently plan weekly activities around a theme and have little observation sheets made up with the activity aim, about 3 different areas covered in 3 different age bands. Then when the person runs the activity they write the childs name at the top, tick which area/age band the child fits into and adds extra comments at the bottom. My question is, is there a way that the manager could set up, easily, an observation that is attached to every child's name in the setting, but that is only shown in that…

Maybe this has been asked before (I have searched the forums but not found the answer I want) When putting together summative assessments, how should I have Tapestry set up on the 'base summative assessments on'? Ideally, I would like it to judge the child based on their highest assessment in that period, that makes the most sense to me. Am I missing or not considering something? I currently have it set to 'age bands are refinments' Many thanks Rob

Staff using Tapestry at home?

May I ask if staff use Tapestry at home. I currently have the trial version and have downloaded the app onto my own iPhone to see how it works on a tablet. What concerns me is that staff could easily download the app, log in to their own account and have access to their key children's photos. My experience over the years is that staff are not allowed to take learning journeys home etc. How do you deal with the safeguarding aspects? Does anybody have policies in place?

Morning, Under the photos online it says 'your school gives you permission to download these photos' followed by a link to download. I thought parents were not allowed to download or is it that they can download and not share online. I haven't seen anywhere in the settings where i would not allow parents to download photos. Please could you let me know. Nikola

This is our third year of using Tapestry, we have been using the old tesco hudl's but they are beginning to have issues! I have bought a Amazon Fire to trial before buying another 7. Is there a way of pinning the Tapestry app to the start page to make it easier to log on as at the moment I'm having to search for tapestry, then log in each time. Thanks in advance Sarah.
