With Covid-19 issues dominating the news and beginning to affect the normal functions of our society, we thought it would be useful to give you our perspective of Tapestry service provision over the next weeks, and also to advise you on how Tapestry may be able to assist with the closure of your school, nursery or other child provision. First of all, we'd like to re-assure you that we are offering, and have confidence we will be able to continue to offer, a full service. This means reliable access to the Tapestry platform, and also to the full level of product support you normally expect from us. Tapestry staff are currently working from home but everyone still has f…

Tapestry now includes a SEND assessment framework which you may find more appropriate to use with children who have been identified as having special educational needs and/or disabilities. If you're interested in taking a look at the short tutorial we've made for it, you can find it here. The framework is based on the Development Matters document, but we have removed the age bands (calling them stages instead) and added many other statements which could help in identifying those smaller steps of progress that children with SEND might demonstrate. Although the advice on every page of the Development Matters document advises against using the statements as a ticklist, man…

Hi Weavers, We've written this post just to let you know that as of the 1st February 2020, we will be increasing the price of Tapestry . This increase will be based on the rate of inflation to allow us to continue improving Tapestry and the service we provide. Any invoices that are created before the 1st February 2020 will have the old price honoured with our normal payment terms of 30 days. If you have any questions about this, please contact us by emailing customer.service@eyfs.info. You can see the new prices for all our packages below:

We've written this post after we've spoken to quite a lot of settings who have decided to add an assessment period for their children's baseline scores. This sometimes is because they haven't realised there is a dedicated screen for baselining the children already (learn about this here), or because they believe it will suit their needs better. We have found that, more often than not, creating an assessment period called 'Baseline' causes more confusion than it is helpful. Here we explain the reasons why we encourage settings to use the 'Baseline Screen' integrated in Tapestry instead of creating an assessment period for this purpose. Tapestry automatically c…

Just wondered if there’s a quicker way to send a video to families. It seems the only way families can see it is if I split the observation which takes a long time. I send a video daily with a handwriting/daily sound on but it doesn’t work when I send it to multiple families? Thank you!

As many of you are aware, Tapestry currently has 2 app versions available for both iOS and Android - a Classic and the new version. The Classic app is the one that many of you have grown to use and love, and we are proud of it too. It offered everything we wanted it to when it was launched - a quick and simple way to add observations. However, Tapestry has come a long way since the app was first developed, and the world of apps has also developed. Whenever a new feature is launched on Tapestry, one of the most asked questions is 'Will this be on the app?'. The Classic app was fairly limited in what it allowed us to achieve and add. For instance, when Tapestry starte…

Hi, I have a number of parents who have split and who both would like to access their child's tapestry account. I have added both parents no problems but have been asked a question by one dad. Is there any way of hiding the parent comments from the other parent? Not come across this before so any help would be appreciated! Thanks x
