Hey all, does anyone know if you can get rollerball numbers?? I have the rollerball letters (you know the ones where you roll a marble to follow the shape) but the numbers would be a good resource for my children. I've googled it on the web but can't find them anywhere. I've also looked in catalogues at school but to no avail. You lot are my next line of enquiry hope you can help! Thanks Catherine xxx

I have been asked to consider appointing two teachers to job share the position of Reception Class teacher. I do not personally have any experience of working as a part-time teacher or know of anyone who has successfully worked in this way. Is there anyone out there who has expereince and could possibly identify some of the pros and cons. I would love to give the person who has requested the role the opportunity but I am concerned about the continuity of care for the children. Any views positive or negative would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have downloaded some playdough cards from sparklebox, they are frying pans (so children can make sausages to put in them) and ladybirds (make dots etc) , the children really love them but I wonder if anyone knows where I can get other resources that are similar, I have seen somewhere (cant remember where) faces, the children then add hair, noses eyes etc? Thank you in advance

Following on from the recent discussion on "What's in your tuff spot", I'm just being really nosey and wondering what everyone is doing for role play. I find that the role play area is a real challenge. I work in a Nursery class which is part of a large inner city primary school. I have a very high proportion of EAL children with 14 different home languages in one class. Many children have no spoken English and many of the parents also have limited or no English. The children mainly live in back-to-back terraced houses with no gardens, or large blocks of flats. They have very little "outside experiences". Many have never even visited the shops, let alone a cafe,…

Hi all can i ask which play panels you use for role play. We have to pack away at the end of each session so i need ones that will stand up to this. My husband made me some last year and they have served us well, but are not suitable for all children. I have been looking at the twoey town arcade and have emailed E4E to ask about putting them away each day, but thought i'd ask all you lovely people which ones you use. Just wish they didn't cost so much but the children (and myself ) like to have a door to open and close Jo

I am looking for a mat or protective cover of some description to put under a table at meal times. I have had some thin plastic matting in the past but have found it too curl up at the edges and be a bit of a danger rather than protect!! Any one using something thay would really recommend? Must be something the staff can put out and put away after lunches
