Hi, I have just opened my own website - I am so excited! I'm selling lots of the resources that I have created over the last few years, mostly aimed at Reception with a few Nursery/Key Stage One bits thrown in. As a thank you for all the great advice I have received here, I would like to offer all FSF members a free resource via e-mail. Just have a look at the site and then send me a Personal Message (through FSF) stating your e-mail address and which resource you would like (anything you like except a CD!) Offer open for two weeks. Click here to have a look: Primary Plan Would also appreciate any comments/advice about how to improve the site. Th…

Water Resources!

Does anyone know of a website where I can get some good images of water features? Not the Ground Force variety (!) but rivers, waterfalls, geysers etc - wanted to make a slide show of them to go with our water topic as I have lots of boys in class who love all the factual stuff and thought it might help with general language/vocabulary development. Thanks Sue

I don't know whether anyone can help with this one, but here goes.... I'm about to start a job in a new nursery which is lucky to be able to offer access to acres of grounds as well as a secure garden. When exploring the various different, areas we want to be able to use a visible barrier beyond which the children are not allowed to go! Although the children will of course be supervised, we will have carried out a risk assessment in the contained area clearing it, or minimising any potential hazards. The 'barrier' of course needs to be easily transportable and quick to put up and not too expensive. I've been looking on the internet without much success. All I ha…

First Language - Japan

Hello All, We have a child starting in September who has some English, but is fluent in Japenese. Her mum told us today that she will get frustrated if she says things in English e.g. when looking at colours - if her mum says yellow, she gets hysterical and doesn't want to do it - similarly with other objects. I would like to get everything in place for September, so wondered if anyone has any ideas for best duel language books, equipment etc. to make life easier for her for when she starts. Any other tips would be much appreciated. Thank you kymberley

Hi all, hope someone can help, I think I'm about to ask a daft question. I would like to know how to paint on the windows of our role play area, but I'm unsure if I can use normal children's washable paint, or if I have to buy some special paint, or if someone knows of a way to do this! I'm sure that doesn't make sense, but I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.
