We have recently moved premises and now have pegs. We were going to have the children's photos next to their names but decided as there may be other users of the premises, this presented a child protection issue Then I was going to just put a picture by each peg - there are 26 pegs so I thought I would just use the alphabet. Each child assigned a picture FAB. Nope. Staff said they would have to keep checking which child had which picture. So, then decided to put picture and name. THEN saw an idea on here to have a picture starting with the same sound as the name. AHA like that idea.... many hours spent on Sunday trying to find approproate images that…

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help! Last year I visited a reception class where the teachers had made story boards which were kept in the writing area. They had made about 20; birthday, princess, dinosaurs, goldilocks and the three bears. I have started cutting out pictures to make the boards but it is very time consuming. I was wondering if anyone had any that they had done on the computer and would be willing to share? The children in the class used the boards to write stories and make cards related to the theme of the card. Thanks Jo

Our head is completing the Sef form and wants to know how do we quantify the progress of the children in the nursery over the year? Obviously we keep individual records but we dont have any system that gives them a score at the beginning and then at the end like the FSP so you can analyse the whole group. the Advisor isnt much help and I'm panicking because OFSTED is aroun the corner!!! Anyone know of anything ?
