We are planning to extend our Nursery and would like to set up a multi-sensory room. We don't have loads of cash so would like cheap/free ideas but also more expensive 'wow' type ideas we can save up for. can you suggest any good suppliers / websites for ideas too ? Thanks. Galleon

Wasnt sure where to put this so apologies if its in the wriong place!! We have a bit of a dilemma. We have a trip planned for the end of may, but the uptake from the parents has been quite poor (which we partly expected). On the one hand, those that have paid, are really excited abiut it and it would disappoint them to cancel. On the other hand, we will be doing preparation in nursery and afterwards around the trip, which would then exclude those not going as they wouldnt be able to participate fully we are talking about half and half at the moment, unless we can persuade any more (which we are trying to do) What would you do in the same circumstance?

HI, what are your policies in this situation Can you help? I have a friend who has found herself in the unenviable position of being threatened with a knife by a parent. The father turned up demanding to see his son and as access is denied the child was removed leaving the teacher with the irate father. Needless to say my friend is more than a little distressed by the ordeal and is concerned about returning to work, immediately because the police have as yet failed to apprehend the man and in the long term recognises that perhaps their policy needs reviewing. What do you do? Has anyone else been in this sort of terrible situation?

Wow, having been told that we had to choose either an additional TA in reception, OR resources this year ( ), our Head had found some money for us to spend specifically on some sort of climing/slide/activity structure for the playground. We really want wood so can anyone recommend a company or website- a search gives loads so I would much prefer a recommendation from someone thats good but not too pricey (its not a huge amound of money). Thanks

Hi , Have just read this months Nursery Education and there is an article about spending your E-learners credits. As we have aquired a computer and desperatly need software I am eager to learn more. Apparantly all funded nurseries are eligable to receive these credits to spend and quite a generous amount. We have not received anything and wondered wether anyone knew anything about them or where we could get them(the article hasnt a contact unfortunatly)Thankyou Andrea

Does anyone have an example booklet or know where I can get one from for parents and new entrants to complete - giving some background information on the child?
