Soft Reading Area Furniture?
by Guest- 5 replies
- 1.9k views
I am looking for soft seating for the reading area in my reception classroom - not only does it need to be very affordable, but it also has to be something which my head will approve as being appropriate for our new school when we move in just over a year (lots of wood and glass). If anyone could recommend a catalogue, company or website I would be very grateful! Thanx Annette

Spares For Nursery Bikes
by Guest- 9 replies

We have a couple of bikes - bought from NES Arnold - that have missing wheels. This is a great pity since the bikes are sturdy and usable in every other way. As the wheels are slightly over sized compared to normal street bikes we have had no luck in finding new wheels and/or locking caps to fit them. Its actually the locvking caps that are missing ,but we dont mind having to buy new wheels if that ius the only way we can get the bikes up and running again. We have tried asking NES but they say the bikes are made in Sweden so ( for some reason ) that means spares are not available at all. Has anyone managed to find these anywhere ? I KNOW we arent the only n…

I would like to recommend a maths tape from Out of The Ark Music. They are very catchy tunes which involve lots of action like writing numbers in the air, marching in pairs. I have laminated the numbers etc so the children can pass them round or show the correct one. Even the rising threes are learning the numbers. The children are probably so enthuisiastic because all the staff like it and get very involved. They are probably trying to get warm as we are in a drafty church hall.

Right Chaps As usual I have come up with an idea that could be fab to do at school, but have only just this minute thought of it, school starts on Monday, our local library is not the best for this sort of thing, so I thought I'd ask you wonderful people for suggested resources on Mexican Art. ....slightly off the wall I know, but my children have been involved with links to the US via internet...so it is relevant (honest) So if anyone could help I would be more than grateful Thanks Kate

Steve, a suggestion here for those of us who are maybe abbreviationally-challenged. It sometimes seems that there is new jargon or a new document out just about every week, and on the forums people then abbreviate, and I can spend sooo much time trying to work out what they are referring to! Sometimes I end up like this: Any chance we can have a list somewhere? Or maybe I'm the only one who can't think easily in CLAs (Capital Letter Abbreviations)

Don't really know where to post this... Does anyone know where I can get small teddies with sash or Tshirts personalised? Had seen a magazine promotions recently in school but I think it was thrown away.

Hi, it been a long time since I have been here - glad to see you have been growing! I have started at a new school, mixed yr r /1 and finding it all very, very stressful. I have to do a hall display based on the theme of harvest/autumn. The school is very hot on displays and i am scared stiff that i am going to do it wrong! I have decided to do Harvest round the world. A large world map in the middle with the children painting different flags and collaging paper plates with food form the countries. However the problem is that i cant think of food from different countries that the children will a)know and draw. I have though of some e.g. lemons/oranges from s…
