Hi Been thinking about making a petrol pump for outside play. I want it to be fairly long lasting so thinking of reusing old furniture of some sort. Has anyone already had a go at making one and be willing to share picture or how they went about it. Thank you.

Hi. l am undertaking a research project for my Level 5 on Outside play and how it effects children's personal and social development. Was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this and would be happy to answer what the benefits are for having outside play?. Thank you Gina

Hi, Just subscribed and I need to send a letter to the parents telling them how to log on so they can view their child's journal. I'm sure I have seen a template for one somewhere within Tapestry or FSF but now I can't find it anywhere. Can anyone direct me to it please? Thank you in advance.

Well I know many of us are trying to find elusive children to swell our ranks, I have just ordered a few posters and leaflets to get our name out there a bit more. Do any of you have any ideas as to where best to put them? What's worked best for you??? any gems I might not have thought of?????

Does anyone have a planning form or similar that shows what resources could be put out to support childrens next steps please? We seem to put the same stuff out all the time so I would like to use next steps as starting point for what we put out - hope that makes sense?

Hi, I am an nqt new to to Reception. I’m just interested to hear how you teach Maths in Reception. I’ve got two main questions: 1. How long do you spend on a specific topic e.g would you focus on recognising shapes for a whole week? 2. How do you differentiate? Will you have different ability groups or do you extend pupils after completing the piece of work? Many thanks in advance.

Our scooters at pre-school were looking really shabby so ive sold them off and am now trying to decide what to replace them with. We already have didcars ...which I love! I'm not keen on the usual heavy metal scooters (I value my ankles too much!) but wondered if anyone had any other suggestions for replacements ? It doesn't have to be scooters but probably needs to fulfil the role of balance for gross motor skills. Anyone got any recommendations?

Hi Does anyone download their children's Learning Journal from Tapestry for the parents onto a memory stick when they leave to go to school? This has been done in previous years by my previous Manager, but does anyone know how that now sits within GDPR? Also it does cost a lot of money on USB sticks, does anyone have any thoughts on this subject?

Hello I have seen Lilbits (sensory and other resources - not just for early years) online and wondered whether anyone has had experience of the company. They stock many interesting and different items that I haven't seen before. The online order system seemed very long winded so I decided to phone but they are on holiday/having a break!! They seem to be on quite a long holiday so wondered whether it is still a going business. Can anyone help out please?
