Any Use For Packing Polystyrene?
by Guest- 10 replies

I have some polystyrene that came in a parcel the other day. The ones that are s shaped and tube shaped, some are easy to squeeze. My daughter suggested I keep them and use them for art or something but I was unsure that they are ok for a 13 month and a 19 month old. Ideas please.

Michael Morpurgo Lecture
by Guest- 7 replies

Did anyone see Michael Morpurgo's 'lecture' on the Richard Dimbleby lecture programme on BBC last night ? How inspiring -really is a must see, hopefully will be available on the internet soon. I've just gone to Teachers TV to see if it's there, and only just discovered that the Department of Education has cancelled their contract with Teachers TV - yet another cut ! Sam

Hi Wondered if anybody could recommend a quality tea set for our pre-school? Criteria would be robust, non-gender specific other than that open to suggestions. Thanks

i have a group at the moment who love stories with a really good beat. but i'm looking for more titles. can you recommend any? so far done things like bear hunt green eggs and ham room on the broom tanka tanka skunk plus some others that i just cant think of ...but im sure you get the sort of idea. they particularly like the ones they can fill in the end rhyme to - like green eggs and ham (i would not eat them in a box i would not eat them with a fox etc!) not too complicated or too long (i have a lot with eal and additional needs) thanks

Outdoor Play Area Storage

At present we have a lovely enclosed area beside the door to playgroup surrounded by a fence and the safety matting throughout. It is built on a slight slope and we have decided not to put in bikes or ride-ons as it could be a safety hazard. Since we opened just 3 weeks ago we have noticed the massive amount of play value children have out of what we already have and although want to expand on it feel there is more value in "freebies" and loads of items that cost very little. We have been given a lovely donation of £250 and want to use it on our outdoor play area. We were considering buying the following: http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/store...oors%7C1…
