I have just taken on a new nursery provision and it was previously run as a nursery and baby unit. I am not registering for a baby unit and have two lovely wooden cots and three highchairs which we dont need. If there is any setting out there who could make use of them please let me know. We would just ask that you come and collect them and make a small donation to our new nursery. There are also some other baby related items such as inflatable ring that babies lay in and mobiles etc if anyone wants them. We are located in Folkestone Kent if anyone is interested. We are looking to clear them out within the next week if possible.

Sense Toys though I would share this site - they have a walking frame for dolls... and some books which look useful for explaining about how children have different needs and why.. including food allergies, diabetes, asthma, impaired vision.. dont know how good they are but they look interesting.. Wasn't sure where to put this one.. fits into so many areas.. plumped for here.. Marie Curie Cancer Care fundraising activity for schools and groups. Mini Pots of Care is a fun and creative way for children (aged 3 to 11 years) to learn all about science and nature whilst making a positive difference to the lives of people with cancer. Registrations for the 10/11 activity close on Thursday September 30, 2010. Mini Pots of Care worth a look... Inge

Hi All :-) I work in a mixed setting for 3-6 year olds and have a beautiful mirror table in my room...the only trouble is, I am running out of creative ideas of what to put on it/how to use it....can anyone help?? I have used transparent shapes, put on coloured water bottles, shells, lenses, building blocks...all of which are great but I have used many many times over and it is time for something new... Thank you!! K

Dressing Up Resources

Can I ask how you display/offer your dressing up items? Our dressing up trolley has collapsed and I'm looking for a new one but frankly I'm horrified by the prices! Any suggestions for a thrifty method of storing and displaying or recommendations for new trolley worth its price are gratefully received. I'd prefer not to have to use coat hangers!

Hi, does anyone have any idea where I can get hold of some safety goggles for Reception to wear when doing woodwork? Every pair I've found seem to fit ages 8 and upwards which is too big for my class Thanks

As part of being on the 2 year old pilot we have £1000 grant to spend on resourcing things that can be taken home by any child in receipt of this funding. We have received a starter pack of a lovely treasure basket and a (rather basic!) story sack with 2 stories and 2 puppets. We can also use this money to fund staff to go and support families at their homes and to link up with the children's centre. I have seen a lovely heuristic play set from TTS which was about £155 and some story sacks but wondered if anyone had any fab ideas or suggestions of resources that work well for them when used in a similiar way. Any ideas would be gratefully received!
