Hi all, Back to thinking about our new term ahead, we decided to follow the children's interests and for 3 weeks we will be focusing on Trains, cars and fire engines. I was wondering if anyone out there had any fabulous ideas we could use to bring this to life and inspire the children? In particular i am thinking of our boys who don't naturally enjoy mark making - surprise surprise and the girls so it isn't too macho!! Please help...

I know what I want, but don't where to look. I want a big book with pictures that children can talk about to develop vocab , utterance length etc. Doesn't have to be a story. Familiar scenes would be good. WHERE CAN I FIND ONE??????????????????????????????????

Next week we're going to print wrapping paper - 2d shapes printed with 3d junk modelling resources (boxes etc). I have my cubes, cuboids, cylinders and triangular prisms (excuse to eat some toblerones!) all ready, but can't think of anything that comes in a cone or pyamid shaped box. Any observant shoppers out there who can help? Thank you!
