Hi guys I am covering transport theme for a couple of weeks after half term & am hoping to get some ideas as to what activities the children could do. I have a few ideas but am after picking some of those experienced brains for something more adventurous so that I can impress in my final teaching placement before I qualify! Also are there any good story books that you could suggest I purchase? Thanks!!

Next week I'd like to have sand in the sand tray that can be sculpted - sticking together more than just damp sand would. What can I mix it with? If I mix it with fairy liquid, does that work? If so, do I mix it with wet , damp or dry sand? And what kind of quantity? I've been meaning to do this for ages, just haven't got round to it! Thanks in advance!

I ordered quite a list of items at the NEC with TTS. After 3 weeks - nothing, so I phoned them and they hadn't put the order in!! I still have only received an ironing board and some squidgy glitter letters. I kept on phoning to be told they are all out of stock and they will be in within the next week/fortnight. I have just phoned again and they have said that they are all still out of stock (I said, what all of it?) - will probably be in on 30 May. The den frame I am after is in the Tesco voucher book and although if I ordered from there, it wouldn't arrive until September - I am tempted to cancel my entire order. Has anyone had this problem with TTS? Sue J

I am just in the process of updating our publicity type leaflet for parents of children who might want to come to our school starting in reception. I'm doing a bit of research first to see other good examples of leaflets advertising your foundatiopn stage / reception class / nursery. Just wondered if some of you might have lovely ones you could attach to give me some more ideas of what to write about, include and leave out! Thank you in advance!
