Hi everyone, I feel I need some inspiration on NLC ideas I'm fed up of using the same old resources and can't seem to get the children to make marks to represent numbers by choice. Can anyone help? Have used the obvious resources such as playdough, compare bears, food, etc but feel a bit stuck in a rut now

my deputy is doing her degree and whilst browsing books in the library came across a book called making the Early years foundation stage work for you. Frst glance it looks fab and full of ideas for activities linked to the development matters and would be great for staff members that have been great in the changes they have taken on but could sometimes do with a little more help with ideas!! well i have just been on the website find here and it looks as though all of the books would be useful( i must admit i have a bit of a love of books!) so before i get carried away and order the lot i thought i'd ask if any of you have brought any and were they useful?

Hi all - have decided that I need to spend time reading around the area of problem solving reasoning and numeracy as that is probably where I feel less confident when planning, have looked around amazon and came across this book - has anyone read it or do you think it is worth getting? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Reasoning-Numeracy...4441&sr=8-2 Thanks Ems

Outside Play Resources

I've got a bit of money allocated to spend out outside play equipment and was curious to find ouit what sort of resources you all have for your outside area and if there was anything you would recommend or anything that you have bought and regret. I'm thinking permanent equipment as well as resources that can come and go as requested by the children. I look forward to reading your replies x

Freebies!

Hi as I was trawling through some random Valentines day ideas website (for children not for personal use lol) I went on a link which took me to a freebies website where obviously there is the usual junk up for offer but also some actually useful things such as a 2GB USB memory stick, some 'bath crackle' and free Kleenex tissue samples (medium sized box and x30!small packs) amongst other things so thought I couldn't possibly keep this to myself and would share it with everyone on here enjoy!
