We have 4 rather large windows at our Pre-school and they need re-vamping for our new topic 'Winter Wonderland'....Other than frosted snowflakes i am running low on ideas! I wonder if anyone on here could suggest some fairly easy, simple, but effective ways of doing this! Ideally it needs to be done in one day !! Hmmmm!!! Jellytots x

Can someone post me a link to the story about the little boy who went to a new school and gradually had all the creativity squashed out of him......where he's given some dough, paint etc. and is all set to create something and then is told to wait and is is shown what to do. Hi Some of the displays at school are excellent really displaying all the children's work and creativity. However some members of staff give children cut outs of people with all the features photocopied on or put out photocopied pictures for children to paint and then display them on the wall. What I suggest to my colleagues is to give the children a shape eg a fish with nothing else on it and allow them to use their imagination and a range of resources to create a collage or paint freely and express what they have made. A while ago someone came up with an idea for "no mess" sticking by using sticky backed plastic. I thought it a great idea but at £2.50 a meter I thought it a bit pricey. Do you know anywhere that I could buy cheaper. B & Q almost £4 for 1.5 meters. On ebay £29. for large roll but I want something in between. Any ideas please? Sue J
