Hi I am looking to putting together some chatter bags for key persons to share with their families. The objective is to encourage parents to talk, sing, play and read to their child in particular those with speech dev delays! Can any of you lovely people either point me in the right direction or share any tips you have done with your families please Andrea

We are a mixed age setting - 2/3/4 yr olds all in one room & one small outdoor area - an absolutely everything packaway setting. In the past we have had mainly 3&4 yr olds but the tide is turning very quickly and our age group is getting very young: basically we are taking the day they are 2 - our resources probably don't cater particulary well for this very young group So my question is what are your children's favourite resources in the 2-3 age group??

Hi Does anyone know where to buy the cork boards you get inside the tap-a shape. Ours are in a very sorry state and I can't seem to find anymore, in some of the supplies catalogues I have found the complete game, and googling just gets me floor tiles and notice boards. The boards need to be about 1cm thick. Thanks

Easi-Ears Digital Audio System£399.99 Hello, has anyone purchased these cordless headphones for their setting ? If so, how are you getting on with them ? We are applying for a grant and i have really wanted these for our setting for some time now but are way out of our price range. I thought they may provide some quieter times in what can be an extremely noisy village hall at times and would really like to hear views of anyone else who has purchased these. Many thanks.

Magic wand and pointer uses in Reception

Hi all, First post on this forum which was recommended to me by my university tutor. I'm currently on my last placement in my PGCE in a Reception class. I have a lovely sparkly wand and a hand pointer but am stuck with ideas how to best use them! In my first placement in Year 2, I used the hand pointer for the children to manage their own transitions (pointing to friends sitting well), however I fear this may be a bit harder for Reception children? I would like to introduce both these resources to my class to make a lasting on going impact. Any ideas are welcome! Clare

I dont know if anyone has been glued, as I have, to the series Human Planet? Well, in case you're not aware there is Little Human Planet, which are 5 minute clips of children from the different places around the world. You can access them via bbc iplayer They are great little clips about children to share with your children.
