by Guest- 5 replies

We would like to do a dance with the children to Indian music using ribbons. I've been looking for some lively Indian music to use, but don't really know where to look. Any music I've found so far has been to slow. Any ideas?

Garage Topic
by Guest- 5 replies

I know in the past someone has posted some fab suggestions for a garage topic. In fact it was from this site that I have decided to do the topic myself. However, I have tried to trawl through all the links, but can't find what i'm looking for . Someone posted MOT certs and things like that, that the children can use in the garage. Can you remember seeing them. If so where are they, or can you post them again. Thanks in advance.

Drinks

Please don't think I'm being tight here! but we get through soooo much milk every day with our 'rolling snack bar' that I'm thinking of getting the children to bring in their own drinks in a clearly named bottle......no fizzy drinks for snack time. We always have water available throughout the session for the children to pour & help themselves. Do you think this would be acceptable? Is there any nursery already doing this? Failing that...asking parents to contribute each week towards the cost of milk...they already bring in 1 or 2 pieces of fruit per week.

Safety Mats
by Guest- 8 replies
- 1.8k views
Does anyone know where I can buy some safety mats to go around metal pillars. We operate from a church hall which has two loevely metal pillars in it. In 7 years we have only had one child bump their head on them (not seriously), but we do feel that it would be a good idea to put some sort of safety mat around them. I have no idea where to start looking. If all else fails I suppose I could make some. HELP.
