I know there has already been some discussion on this but i'm wondering if anyone in a Nursery Setting could tell me waht they do? I'm in a nursery with a Nursery Nurse. At the moment we have a snack time and all sit down together. However our numbers are on the rise and we do not have enough space to all sit together any more. ( this would mean bringing in another table using up valuable floor space). If you do a rolling snack how do you 'police' it. . How do you ensure that: 1) the children are having a snack 2) they are not eating more than their share (we have on piece of fruit each.) Having only two adults in the setting I would rather not have to …

I'm just redoing some storage box labels. What do you call your lions, tigers, zebras etc? We are in a rural area and if I call them wild animals the children may think of foxes, badgers, rabbits etc. So, do I call them zoo animals? Any advice please.

People Who Help Us

I had a set of people who help us cards with pictures on that we used to play snap with but I can't find them. I could make a whole new set using clipart or google images but I really don't have the time this weekend. Does anyone have anything similar? Or if not, any ideas what I can do this week in Literacy? The focus is lollipop people! The only other idea that sprang to mind was making our own lollipop stick signs.
