Afternoon all! Regular followers of our GDPR thread will know that we took down the privacy notice for parents last week as we needed to be sure that the information provided on FSF reflected our best interpretation of the GDPR requirements. To this end, we have added an additional document to the privacy notice which needs to be used in conjunction with the original document. This is the basic privacy notice - it simply reminds parents of the data they have already provided (on the enrolment form) and reminds them of what you intend to do with their data and the data of their children. In order to comply with the GDPR requirements you must ensure that y…

Hello everyone, my sincere apologies if this has been covered already but my search didn't uncover anything. Does anyone have any info on GDPR compliance of Visitors Books and the Daily Registers? Ours are both currently on one sheet printed out from the office and show the names of everyone attending that day. Is this non compliant? Thank you for any feedback.

Hi everyone, I am currently sorting out our archived paperwork but there are some things I am unsure about. I have a copy of the PLA retention period of records but it’s not really specific enough. For example, how long do I need to keep registration documents for children that have left, do I need to keep county council funding forms, absence logs (in addition to the registers)? I understand it is recommended to keep medication record books & accident record books and why but I can’t think of a reason to keep the paperwork above. I would be grateful for any guidance. Thank in advance.
