Can anyone help with suggestions of some Christmas play / nativity that we can do this year??? It is for Nursery to Year2 (approx 45 children), the Head has asked if we can do it again this year due to staffing changes in the Junior department We did it last year and (2 years before that) when we have made up our own versions of the Nativity story choosing known songs and tunes. We like all children to take part ( lots of angels and animals!!!) with the older children taking the main speaking/narrating parts. Has anyone used a really good published play that they could suggest? I KNOW its early but after half term we will only have six weeks to make costumes, pra…

Nativity Play

This play links in traditional tales characters to the Christmas story. I would love to publish this as we performed it last year and it was fab. But I use well known songs in it so that it can be done by anyone. I have written the sequel this year so anyone wanting something similar next year- just ask. I love writing plays. The sequel is the nativity told from the sheeps point of view, but it has visiting characters from the attached play. If you need help finding the music- just ask. I hope you like this Suzy A_nativity_play__story_land.doc

If the shops can start selling christmas goodies then it's not too early for me to start thinking about it This year our fundraiser would like to do 'father christmas' letters for the children...the idea being parents pay for the letter. Can anyone come up with ideas about this, perhaps a website or information from when you did this yourself? HO HO HO.......mrsb

A Happy New Year to everyone and may it be a good one for all. It will be the year of my retirement (Easter) and of our move from Kent to Dorset. In the meantime, we are off to Devon tomorrow to indulge ourselves for three nights in a hotel.

Party Games

Had a look at the recent discussion on party games for 2-3 year olds. Can anyone extend to what they do for 4-6 year olds. Ours like the corner game where they dance and when the music stops they pick a colour corner. You pick a colour card and all children in that corner are out. I know there are many variations. Will also do pass the parcel, musical bumps and statues.

Ive had such a lovely if absolutely exhausting day today. It was our Christmas Family Day when parents grandparents younger brothers and sisters could all come and join us in a range of Christmas activities before dressing the Christmas trees. We had an excellent turn out and everyone said how much they had enjoyed it including me

HI As we were racking our brains about what to do with our children aged 2 - 5 years for christmas play, we stumbled across a most brilliant book. e-mail jesus@Bethlehem..... by Hilary Robinson.... Have any of you read it, its great,.... the humour in it will only really be caught on by parents watching it, but the message behind the nativity is still there just in a real fun way... we will throw in traditional songs and give children parts (be it some none traditional LOL, ) but it should be good.... if any of you have read the book let me know what you think of it... i am hoping our parents will love it, fingers crossed anyway Dawn
