Hi, Does anyone have some new short Christmas songs they could recommend for our Pre-School nativity play. We are fed up doing the same ones year after year and would welcome any short easy to learn new ones. Thanks.

Hi everyone, sorry to begin a discussion about the C word but it has to be started i'm afraid !!! I thought i'd pick everyones brains about the Christmas nativity, we are doing a bought CD pack "C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S spells Christmas" which we have done on previous years and is really good, the children can achieve it and is popular with parents and staff alike. The problem I have is that this year we have increased in numbers of children so I have a lot of extra roles to add, we have allocated roles but I have groups of sheep, camels and donkeys who at the moment don't do much in the play. Hello All, Firstly I'm not sure if I've posted this in the correct place, apologies if it is meant to be elsewhere. This is only my third post I think! It's friday night and i've nothing better to do than worry about Christmas. I'm begging for help. This year my class are doing a traditional nativity play with carols such as Away in a Manger and Little Donkey etc. Does anyone have a written play script I can borrow. I'm finding it really hard to write. I did think it would be really easy but once you actually sit down to write one, I can't even begin to think of how to start. Please help Huge thanks Cat

We had our Nativity Play yesterday. Brilliant this year. We had a real baby - just 12 days old - in the crib who behaved absolutely beautifully. The other stars of the show were the two Roman Soldiers who marched up and down the whole time and announced 'we're guarding the baby'

Hi everyone! I've finally completed my 3,750 word R.E assignment, but still need to add in my resources. I've found a lovely animated Christmas Story but sadly I cannot save it, as I need to be a member (it's also canadian) I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. xx

I'm in chat at the moment with mummyspud, and we were just talking about some fantastic role play that was going on in their home corner. So I want to know... What's the best christmas related, 100% child initiated play you've had?! I was just saying to mummyspud, we had a group of 4 children who would go into the playhouse outside, and be busy making something, and when you'd ask what they were doing they'd say to you "We're making dinner for father Christmas!" so I'd ask them about father christmas, and I got told "He comes down the chimely of the nice girls and boys to put presents in their bed" to which another child looked up at the roof and his face …
