Hi all - This is to let you know that later this week we will be upgrading our forum software, and consequently there will be a period of possibly a few hours when you will be unable to login, read or post messages. We currently intend to carry this upgrade out on Wednesday morning, although this may change if circumstances dictate. This is going to be quite a significant change, and the forum area will look slightly different afterwards. I'll be posting again with more detail on this and a few pictures so you're not too disorientated. Hopefully, if we have done our work properly, you'll find it is still pretty familiar, and there will be a number of new features wh…

Apologies for anyone who was unable to access the FSF this morning. Our hosting providers suffered a major technical failure which has affected a large number of websites across the UK. This is thankfully a very rare occurrence, but we're aware of how frustrating it can be and will be working with our providers to hopefully prevent any repetition. Best wishes, Steve

Ok, the first person who can find Jacquie's hat (see bookshelf post for details) will add £10 to the first donation to charity from our book recommendations page.

Hi all - Just to let you know that we are migrating our server to a new data centre* next weekend and that consequently the FSF will be unavailable for up to six hours, beginning at approximately 10pm. During this time if you try to access any part of the FSF you will find a message apologising for the inconvenience and inviting you to return later. Apologies for the inconvenience but the move is necessary for a number of technical reasons, which will ensure that the website has space to grow and develop. *This means that the computer which stores all the information that you see when you log into the FSF will be being moved to a new dedicated building, where it…

Hi all - I've updated the Gallery, so now you don't have to post images in your own albums, but can if you wish put them into categories where they will be more easily locateable. I've set up some initial category 'albums', mainly the Season displays, but if you would like others just let me know. Currently existing ones are: Displays - ----------- General ----------- Christmas/Winter ----------- Autumn ----------- Spring ----------- Summer Role Play Miscellaneous Sadly the images already in your personal albums can't be moved into the categories - if you want to have them available in the categories you'll need to re-upload them. Sorry! (In …

Hi all - Just to let you know that we'll be changing the URL (address) of the FSF imminently. Currently - as you probably know since you're here - it is foundation-stage.info. We're changing this to eyfs.info (well apart from the obvious it is obviously also less letters to type). Don't worry about this too much - the old address will still work - you'll simply be re-directed to eyfs.info and can use this address in the future as you get used to the idea. The only thing you might find is that you need to log in again, where normally you get automatically logged in. For any of you who can't remember your log in details, as ever you can contact us via email - admi…

Hi all - In recent months we've noticed at times that the FSF has slowed down when lots of people are logged in. So over the next day or two we're moving to a new and much more powerful server which should see these problems disappear. We don't anticipate any significant disruption to availability but I'd like to let you know what is happening in the event of any problems with access. I'd also be very grateful for feedback over the next couple of weeks to let us know if you've noticed the change.
