I have just finished my first year of the foundation degree and am beginning to contemplate what comes next for me for my third year. I dont want to do my PGCE and im aware that you need GCSE maths in order to do some third years. Is the BA hons in Early childhood studies one of those courses or can you apply without a GCSE? I know that i cant find time to fit in doing my GCSE maths on top of my degree so thats a def no for me. Thanks

ok, so I'm not the most organised person and am writing up the rest of my methodology, which has taken a complete back seat to assignment deadlines, anyway the end is in sight and I am getting so confused what to put and not put in my methodology...has to be approx 1250 words as diss is only 5000 words...uni has recommended sectioning 'ethics, methodology and methods' under one, is this what others are following too? I think I am bit overloaded- I have so much info on what to put in methodology I can't see the wood for the trees hope you can help clarify!

Hi I am doing a module on ICT and have to create an acivity pack. I am basing mine on a kidizoom camera and a little girl taking pictures about her time spent at my home (childminder). Learning and development is based around aspect of the camera - batteries - what they do - memory card what it does. How to take pictures, look at them and then use the printer to view with the memory card, print some off etc, laminate and then make into a book for her. It has to show progression and so I have limited to this rather than include bee bots, remote control cars etc which would not show it sufficiently enough considering I have to use 5 ict things. I also want t…

Hi folks I've been looking at a recent post about poems about outdoor play but I can't quite find what I am looking for there ... My request is a little similar so please bear with me For my research project, I am focusing on investigating the adult's ability to influence children's access to 'risky play' outdoors. Can anyone lead me to a poem that describes children having adventures or maybe facing challenges? Many thanks for this

Dear very busy colleague, I would like to ask for your valued opinion of boisterous play in the Early Years classroom environment. I am currently studying for a BA Hons in Early Years and need to complete a research project which involves gathering the views of practitioners working in the EYFS with regards to boisterous play. I would be grateful if you would click on the link below which will take you to an easy to complete form which should take no more than a few minutes to complete. When you have finished completing the questionnaire simply click on the submit button. If you would like to be emailed a copy of the research findings please leave your email add…

I am starting to freak out because this assignment is nearly due and I CANNOT get to grips with analysing the observations of my target child! I obviously analyse the obs for the children at work everyday. The thing that drives me mad is having to reference everything! I know things are age appropriate because Ive worked with this age for 12 years - not because I've read it in a book 5 minutes ago!! (when i can eventually find the books that will actually help!!) Has anyone else done this module? Any tips? Thanks in advance!!
