Another Dissertation Question

I'm in the final year of a BA(Hons) in Nursery Management and it's dissertation time!!! I've decided to do something along the lines of "what impact does the key person approach have on the key person", I have the Dorothy Selleck book "key persons in the nursery" and will research and read things by Elinor Goldschmied. I know this will also encompass attachment so will check Bowlby out too; thinking it might also cover group dynamics, i.e. how it affects everyone in the room inc the buddy. Any other ideas, suggested reading, good sites or has anyone done this topic before me? As the title said all help greatfully received!!!!

Hi I am staring my foundation degree with the OU with great trepidation - at the moment it seems a huge mountain to climb!! For the first part it seems that we have to gather a great deal of evidence from our workplace. Even though we will render these anonymous, are we required to have written permission from the parents to make these available to the OU (if asked for)? Or does the standard permission to observe and record learning journeys cover this? I wondered what others have done in this situation in the past. Is there anyone else studying this with the Open University in Gloucestershire?

I have known this for a while now but put it on the bottom of the list.....now it seems to be creeping up and I hope I will be able to cope with time etc. Am doing the course through Chichester University but through my local college which is great because I wont have to travel far at all. Had interview back in the beginning of the year, was accepted and so the story continues. My friend and colleague is also doing the course as we thought it would be nice to have each other to lean on!!! she has now told me she is thinking of not doing it as she feels it will be too much for her (she has a 2 year old, 12 year old and 15 year old) and a hubby but she doesnt think th…

Have been given a handout from uni which is all about "Modernity and Postmodernity: Power and Ethics" which I am supposed to read before next week. It is sooooo hard going! I don't understand what it is talking about and to be honest, it just looks like lots of random big words strung together. It doesn't make sense to me. I have tried looking it up on the WWW but even then, I'm confusing myself even more. I knew this year was going to be hard but not this hard so early on. What am I going to do!?

http://www.cypnow.co.uk/bulletins/Daily-Bu...C-DailyBulletin Primarolo reiterated the government's intention to have an EYP in every full day care setting by 2015. "The campaign will target those outside the profession - as well as those within it - so that we can continue to build on the success we have already achieved in training more than 3,000 EYPs. The campaign will be led by the CWDC," she said. The CWDC also announced that a fifth pathway to EYP status will be added, for graduates of the early childhood studies degree.
