Hi, Just finished TMA06, before tomorrows deadline having struggled for weeks to get my head around how to get my head round it all! Now two weeks behind in my study of chosen topic and revision?? eek!!! It been 20 years since I sat an exam and I am just a bit nervous.... well OK a lot nervous.... Does anyone have any words of comfort please.. or a rocket so I can get that push to actually start revising! I am really worried about this bit, I've done so well with the TMA's so far and will be gutted if I fail the exam... Support needed urgently..

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has done the ED209 (Child Developemnt) with the OU, I am considering registering for it ready to start in February 2010. However i will be almost finished the E115, well four months will be left. I was just wondering if it is worth working my socks off for 4 months, to shorten my foundation degree by a year. Could anyone tell me if it is a difficult course to do. Many thanks Zo

I need to record and evaluate six obs on one child for my FD. I have chosen to observe the 12 month old baby who is settling in with me. I need several different types so I am looking at time sampling. I can find lots of information on how to record them but I can't actually see what useful information they would give me. I am a childminder and only usually have one baby at a time so I know what that child is doing throughout the day anyway. I can't even really see how they would be useful when observing older children. Does anyone use this format regularly? What does it tell you. What situations is it helpful for?

Hi all, just had my registration forms in the post to register with OU for E115. Looking through the pack I find a form for someone else to fill in to be my confirmer. I'm not sure who I should ask to do this. I work as supervisor in a packaway pre-school. The chair will be signing my other form and I it says a senior co-worker could be my confirmer, but as I am supervisor there isnt anyone else higher than me. Would it be a big job to oversee what I send in? I do have a deputy but she has a busy life herself with 3 young children and dont want to put on her if its a big job. I'd be pleased to hear any comments from anyone who has been in a similar situation.…
