Hi all I am at that point where I need to make a decision about which course/s I study next. I am going to continue with the OU but was wondering if anyone has had any experience of E230 and E243 (two 30 pt courses at level 2). What are they like compared to E115? Is it possible to do them both at the same time? or is there too much work load? Any advice please....greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone I need some advice. I am trying to write my Professional Development plan and have managed to complete the 3 short term goals: Initial contact with my reach parents / Development of Outdoor environment / Development of Mobile Toy Library. But have not got the foggiest on what my Long Term goal is. This is my last assignment to gain my Foundation degree in Early Years with OU. Since starting the long path to get the FD my employment has changed from being a day nursery manager to a senior outreach co-ordinator for a children centre. I am totally unsure what to put now, as don’t even know whether I want to carry on and gain the full degree. If a…

Dear all, I am off to Rymans tomorrow to get my research project/dissertation bound, ready to be dropped off. I am very grateful to all of you who have kept me on track and focused. I am extremely grateful to those of you who completed my questionnaire, particularly those who completed the 2nd version as well!! I would not have been able to produce this piece of work without you. Thanks again

I am curretnly writing my literature review for my last module in the foundation degree course. I am doing my research around supporting young childrens war, weapon and superhero play and have found lots of articles etc based on why we should support this aspect of play but my tutor has said i need to also look at literature/research that doesn't support it. I am struggling to find any articles saying - You must ban war play etc and wondered if any one else who has researched/interested in this area of play has found something useful that will help me. All response will be greatly appreciated as I can see the light flickering at the end of the tunnel now! Jus…

I have to provide some evidence for my foundation degree profile which shows how I; "Solve theoretical and practical problems that have occurred, or are likely to occur, when carrying out the role of senior practitioner within early years." I am working as a childminder and a few hours a week in the village nursery but not as a senior practitioner. I know I am probably being really thick but I cannot think of any evidence which fits this skill. Can anyone help me with some ideas? Pleeeeeeease!

Hi everyone, We have to present our views on team work and communication to our group for a discussion! Does anyone have any ideas, referencing or experience of such on this subject? I am a Deputy Nursery Manager.
