Finally got my year 2 part time results. I passed with a suprising A grade for a level 4 module yippee and can proceed to completing the last 3 Level 5 modules. I seem to get better grades in the second semister than the first! Hopefully this time next year I should be a qualified Foundation Degree Early Years Level 5 Practitioner waiting to do the BA (hons) Early Years top up course. Beth

Hi everyone Have just heard that E124 results are on the OU website. Am delighted to say I have passed. Would like now like a certificate to prove it, hasn't quite sunk in yet - I have a level 4 qualification! Think it's great that we achieve something part way through the FD, gives one a little incentive especially as it can take a few years to complete via the OU. Good luck to everybody else.

Hello all. Probably starting next September I will need to start the foundation degree to ensure that by 2015 there is someone with a degree working in afternoon nursery. My question here is does anything, ANYTHING AT ALL count towards that degree? If so, what? I have my NNEB certificate (1982) I have my City and Guild 7303 teaching and assessing adult and further education certificate. I have 26 years worth of experiences in different settings, jobs, all to do with children and their care. I have only read an overview re the course but I see no mention of any experiences counting towrds this goal. I will be doing the long route..... part …

Hello everyone It has been a long time since i posted on this site. I just want to say that i finshed my Foundation degree and graduated at South Bank uni 2 weeks ago. I want to thank all those who had helped me with their useful posts over the year. I am about to embark on a new course with the Open University, studying for my BA in Early Years, they said that i had to do this unit: Working togrther for children (KE312). I was wondering if anyone has done this route before?

Hi Everyone, It's been a while since I have been on the forum. Just busy with work, studies and life in general. I finished my E123 and E124 in May with the OU just waiting on my results. I am due to start E115 in October. I was getting my funding through the transformation fund. Well, today I received a Graduate Leader Fund contract to sign, I was a little confused as I did not know about the Graduate Leader fund, (i now know it has replaced the Transformation Funding). I have not signed the contract as when I read through the terms and conditions it seems some things have changed since I previously signed up to do the Early Years Foundation Degree. To receive the f…

Hi all! I've been accepted to start the Foundation degree from September, but at year 2, because I'd already done the ADCE (level 4). I'm looking forward to it, but getting so nervous as it gets nearer. My college offers it as a 2 year course (fulltime) or 3 years part time. I'll be at college from 2 till 9 on Thursdays, so work are releasing me all day Thursdays. But Hubby does shift work and on days doesn't get in till after 7, on nights has to leave just after 6. So we'll need someone to help look after the boys (12 & 5), plus Thursdays are elder boy's Scout nights & he's a Patrol Leader. Hubby would have preferred me to it through OU for thes…
