Funding For The Foundation Degree

Hi All! Got my letter today with enrolment dates for the FD. It says on the letter that I need to bring evidence of funding or payment on the day I enrol, but I was wondering who I need to approach for funding? I have a form PN1 which is for higer education but I don' think the FD falls into one of the categories that this funding covers. I was wondering how others went about their funding. Who did you approach, what forms did you fill in, how long did it take etc. Enrolment day is not until 25th September which isn't that far away. I'm starting to panic now that I won't be able to prove that I have funding in place and to be honest, I can't raise the funds alone.…

Hello, I recieved THE letter today confirming I had passed the Foundation Degree, to those of you still thinking about it I would have to recomend this course, that takes many forms depending upon where studying. It has been alot of work but I still managed to juggle work, family, holidays, a social life and a cleanish house! I spent one day in college, which was actually considered full time, with the minimum of 20 hours per week at work for two years. I will now be able to top up the FD with a new course, for one year, again 1 day at college, titled BA hons in Early Learning that has been written especially for us, at Suffolk College. Whilst you all may not have bee…

Hi Just handed in my final assignment for my first year of the Foundation Degree in Learning and Teaching - what a year! One last hurdle for next Monday though - the dreaded presentation Have based it on what happens if the 'Foundations' are left incomplete, by which I mean what the results are of an abrupt transition into a year one class where there is no regard given to the profile and no play based provision. Just need a bit more evidence to back up some of my points - I know that in Wales the FS has been extended & does anyone have any info on this or anything connected Thanx, Miffy x

Hi there! This is really aimed at those who have already started their EYFD! I am due to enrol at college in August and was wondering whether I would need to produce my qualification certificates as evidence that I actually have 2 level 3 qualifications? I officially qualified in August 05 and I still have not received them so I'm getting a bit concerned in case I need to show them, as I still haven't got them. Been on the phone to the training people this morning to see what's happening so fingers crossed, if I need them, they will be here. Thanks

Does anyone else struggle with evidence for PSHE? For example how do we know if children have developing respect for other cultures - In our setting we acknowledge Eid, Chinese New Year etc but how can we say if the children really do have a developing respect? Also the one about them being aware of their own identity/culture is a hard one I think as I work in a catholic school with no other cultures other than their own
