I am currently in my Year 2 of the Foundation Degree and I am collating information on what makes a Quality setting and would love your input and opinions on this. Those of you who have children in a preschool, nursery or with a childminder- would you mind answering a question for me? "What in your mind makes a Quality setting?" "What did you or do you look for when choosing a setting?"

DECEMBER 7TH (HASTINGS) AND 10TH (FALMER) If you're thinking about starting a part-time foundation degree in Early Years Care and Education and you live in the south of the country, do go along to the open evenings at Brighton (sites at Falmer and Hastings) to find out about this really stimulating and well-renowned course. Hi all Have just started BA alongside EYP and have been given an inclusion assignment. To look at an area under the inclusion arena and research and write about it Am thinking about a topic and have thought about music as a way of communication when including an autistic child. Has anyone done anything similar and read any good books, as at present the ones I have found just skim the subject, or what topics did you cover? thanks in advance

I am looking into becoming a teacher once I have completed my degree in 2015 which seems very far away, but i was just interested to hear about different routes and training available to achieve this? Thank you Emma

Ke312 Open University

Hi all, I have read on here a few comments about KE312. This is my last course studying with the OU. I have read reviews about the course on the OU website and just wanted a general picture of what the course is like and the dreaded exam. Like most OU courses there is alot of reading involved which has never bothered me. I passed EK311 with a grade 2 and really enjoyed that course, KE312 is approaching and Im really worried about the exam. Anyone studied this course and passed the exam?

Tavistock Method Of Observation

Hi - once again I need some help please folks I have to do an observation using the above technique. It is usually used in relation to young babies but I have to adapt it to use within the early years setting. I have googled and had the usual nose around but not really sure how to get started on it. Do I analyse it as I would a narrative observation or does the analysis come within the description of the events. Appreciate any help ?!
